I recently got a new motherboard and hard drive for my computer and now I am trying to install JK2 again every time I try it I get a message that says:

Component: Game

Group of file: Game Files

File: D:\GameData\base\assets0.pk3

Fault:Fault of data (cyclic redundance checking required)



I have a hp pavilion computer running windows XP

Please help!

A cyclic redundancy check error sounds like the disc is physically damaged. :(

another possible cause could be a bad cd-rom drive or connection, or bad drivers. try the disc in a different computer, if its bad there, then see if you can get it replaced or buffed.
