Okay, first my problem: I'm using the mekel mod and the holowan plug-in and a number of other mod's, i've combined all the 2da's, and all the other stuff in what Im pretty sure was the right way. (No problems other than the one I'm about to list). Now my problem, is that when I try to put Mekel into any armor that uses the starforge robe (modified or otherwise) i crash. I also dislike the fact that no matter what armor he is in he wears that stupid sith uniform. Now holowan plug-in has a mekel head that doesn't have that problem. (I can make a pc using that head) I would like to use that head for mekel so armor works right.
I have tried changing the apearance using KSS (I made a save with the mekel head on my PC got the apearance name (P_MAL_C_LRG_01) and changed Mekel's apearance to this (he became an alien who still crashes when I try to put him in armor) using the apearance P_MAL_T_LRG_01 worked but then he's a twilek ... and I want him to look like Mekel.
any held would be greatly appreaciated in this matter.
another note I have a make mission into atris mod installed (which didn't change her head so I deleted the images and now she's simply a Jedi with no texture changes from her original self)
if you want more info (every mod installed, etc) let me know.
Open up your appearance.2da file and look at the P_MAL_C_LRG_01 line for a piece saying "normalhead" copy this number down to Mekel's line and save the file. OPen up your game (after reverting Mekel back to being Mekel) and then try changing his armour to something other then his normal armour. His head should stay the same.
If that works out fine, its now time to change his other appearance lines to make it work with armours. What you will need to do is load up the appearance.2da file again and copy all the model* and tex* lines down to Mekels line and save the file again. Load your game again and try changing his armour.
