Hello to everyone and sorry for my poo english.
My problem with kotor2 is i run the game, see the videos of lucasarts and other stuff, but when it's supposed to view the usual screen of "new game, load game, options..." the screen turns black and then recieve one of those annoying problem report from windows, returning to deskstop and closing the game.

Here are my specs:

I played before Kotor I and have no problem.
I want to play Kotor II!! :cry8: I've tested everything
Plese help!!

do you have the patch installed?? i think an issue like that was addressed in it.

if that doesn't work, turn off any firewalls you might have turned on (after disconnecting from the internet first) and make sure that you're not running a lot of backround programs.

hope that helps. :)

Ow, the patch is already installed, and all firewalls, anti-virus software and the internet conection disabled. Still having the same problem. Before i have the ATI card i had a nVidia geforce2, and the results were the same. I think if it is my windows version... or maybe the micro.
I don't understand why this happens
Thanks anyway!

It does sound like the RAM is the problem here, so you should also try what stingerhs suggested and kill some system processes. To do so permanantly: go to Start->Run, then type 'msconfig' (no quotes), then go to the 'Services' tab and check the 'Hide All Microsoft Services' checkbox. Click 'Disable All', the click 'Apply'. Now go to the 'Startup' tab and uncheck any item that has a directory listing (i.e "C:\PROGRA~1") and click 'Apply'. Please be aware though, this will cause your Anti-Virus and Firewall programs to NOT run on system start-up, and you will also have to re-boot after you apply the new settings for them to take effect.
