[Modding] How do I make an item unbreakdownable?

I'm using ChAiNz.2da's Hak Pad mod, and it's great -- except for one thing. A lot of the time when I'm doing a mass "break down a bunch of items for components" run in the workbench, I mess up and hit the Hak Pad too, even though it's got a warning against that sort of thing.

Is there anyway I can use Kotor Tool to just mod hak_pad.uti so that the Hak Pad is unbreakdownable, like the comlink or the quest-related datapads are? I already tried clicking on the 'Quest Item' checkbox, but that didn't work.

Note: (Very) novice modder here, so please, small words. :)

There should be an option when looking at the uti file for the hak-pad to make it a plot item. Plot items cant/wont be broken down by using the work bench.

You will need to put a new hak pad in to your inventory after you do this as the game saves what ever is in your inventory (item slots etc) in to the save game so the one oyu have already will be breakdownable.

Doh! I'd already tried that, but I *hadn't* realized that I had to do it /before/ loading the hak_pad into inventory, or else the change wouldn't take.

Thanks!

No worries, I too have forgotten the whole "if you change it you must get a new one" thing and spend half an hour one day wondering why a sword I made had the texture etc but not the stats!
