I assume you are talking about SWBF2. What do you mean by "community"? A forum? A clan? A group to create new mods?

Ok i'm pretty good at making buildings and definately maps using 3D Software such as 3DS Max BUT i have asked one forum and nobody will kindly tell me how to get the models in game or even the maps in game.. I've made a lot of maps for Halo but BF seems to be different..

So please could somebody point me to a tutorial that i can read up on or watch and i assure you that you'll have nice looking maps.. All's that it takes is co-operation from both parts, lol...

As i said, i asked this other forum and they just ignored my post, lol...

So i guess it's up to you.. You want a good mapper, designer and building maker then here i am but i need help regarding this game..

Im part of a mod team that originally began with the intention of working on the battlefied 2 engine. We have since found that it does not meet the requirments in terms of scope for redesign. The mod has 5 planned playable races, each covering a unique angle of gameplay and strategy. Were currently exploring new platforms to develop on. This isint a shoot from the hip operation, at some point it stopped being a mod and became a game based in an original sci fi universe. Most ideas have been thought out in horrible detail, with concept at now being produced for the finalised vehicle designs of the first race. A novel is being produced by one of the team. Culture, politics, language ,religion, its all in there, and will linger at the perhifery of the game play experience, bringing it all to life. So i ask, wahs the deal with modding for this platform. Is there a community yet? Is there support for modders? What have been the great success of modding the previous title. If there is a good sdk /tool kit and sensical coding id imagine that we would be most enthusiastic to join the fledgling community! We want to get our vision out there, but we dont want our coders to die from the blunt trauma from bashing their heads off their monitors when trying to get a non human character into battlefied 2.

I'd be interested. I'm a modder from SWBF and I plan to mod SWBF2. We already have a big community at
http://www.gametoast.com)
but maybe this one will grow to. Ethier way i'd still join it.

As for a tutorial. All buildings and such to go into SWBF must be made in XSI. Heres a tutorial how to make and put them in SWBF.

Well, I would like to help and do whatever I can.

Oh, we should ask if the BF1 mod guys can join us.

Also, it would be nice to get those missing BF1 maps back to BF2.

What's wrong with http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com/?)

Although I never quite understood why JediMoves was set up until it had existed for about half a year, when it posted up all the best canon related maps, models, vehicles and so on. I was impressed, but then again, it wasn't anything I couldn't find at http://jediknight2.filefront.com/)... apart from I had to search a little longer there.

on Jedimoves its StarWars based things only
and you have a lot of tips and tricks for moves jumps etc...
and not endless lists of skins over skins over skins in maps whit one room and a bad light
