Errr, correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the game actually get released first before starting to make mods for it?

Well no, sometimes- if you have a big idea- to start ahead so you will have alot of the design phase done by the time the mod is out.

also Imperial Assault is not the only mod out there.
There is Starship Troopers: First Interstellar War: www.sstisw.com)
and then Project Mars: www.projectmars.com)

these three all make up the mods that were the first and are set up to be the best mods for EaW when it releases.

Worried about information? Don't be, lots of models are being made for mods regardless. They will just be adjusted once the game is released.

If you guys are modding, I can set up a Mod section here on the Empire At War forums. Of course, we can offer our support and remember www.lucasfiles.com) where you can host them if you wish

Yes Panzer I am. Working very carefully on a mod for the game. It shall be revealed later.

To tell you the truth Starship Troopers never caught my interest.

Ouch that hurts.

Anyways that is cool to have a mod section, and you can host?
for how much? And what features does it have?

Well it shouldn't be that hard to get one, on a forums, that way the mod teams can also be viewed by the admins and moderators. And they could also be able to easily pass of important modding info or answer questions for us without writing complex e-mails that are never replied to. (hint hint Petro)

Well, even if you can't start the actual designing, programming, etc. you can develop ideas.

Well, that is true, and I was thinking that aswell, but that wasn't what I understood from this thread. :p

Reading it again though, I'm not sure how I could missunderstand this thread.

well I have no idea how its possible.

Anyways these mods could use the community support, as it is for the fans.

The mods also do a couple good things for EaW
1. Provide a good community for the game and support for it.

2. Give the game excellent replay value.
