Doesn't Ebgames already have Psychonauts PC version in stock? I don't see any ETA date on the site. Has anyone got the Pc version from ebgames?
I preordered it, and apparently(but I don't remember) requested to have it sent to my house. I still haven't received it.
The last time I was at ebgames was the day after the they got the xbox version. They also never gave me any update on when I would get it. I did call though, and the support guy said it would probably be later this week. I hope I get it tomorrow, but the tracking information, from usps, that I posted above doesn't make me feel too hopeful.
I would much rather have to game already than a mail-in voucher.
I'm going to call tomorrow to see if the store has it.

Well, unfortunately, my prediction was correct. I check out gamestop this morning and guess what! The pre-release date is now 4/29!!! So....... I guess my weekend plans of playing psychonauts will not happen. I'll continue to impatiently wait. :(

I got the same exact message from the usps. Leaving Cincinatti April 28th even though the package supposedly shipped on the 25th. Bah. The things we do for a voucher and a pack of cards. Time to run through the demo again.
Hey, vouchers are cool. Espescially since my Gamestop membership covers the cost of shipping on full-priced games.
I sent an e-mail to Gamestop, saying:
"On March 21st, 2005, I pre-ordered Psychonauts for the PC- supposed to release on April 19th. And apparently, it did release on April 19th...in stores. But for some reason on Gamestop.com, it was pushed back to April 25th. Ok. But then April 25th arrives, and it is pushed back to April 26th. Then April 27th. Now April 28th. The game has been out for over a week now. I can go into stores and buy it, I can order it from other online retailers...why is it continually being 'pushed back' on Gamestop?"
To their credit, the reply was quick; I just got home from school and in my inbox is a response, saying:
Dear Customer,
We are sorry for any inconvenience but we here online and our store locations dont have this shipment yet so we are not able to ship out our orders.. We have gotten told by the manufactor that our shipment should arrive to us today. So therefore we will be able to ship out your order today ..Thanks and have a nice day.

My best guess is that Majesco's calculations on exactly how many people would buy the pc version was grossly inadequate, so it's taken longer for them to produce enough to send to all the stores.
I guess Wal-Mart just had a higher priority in the list than EB Games or Gamestop. Or maybe some EB Games and Gamestops have them and some don't. I just called the EB games here in town and they don't have the pc version yet either. The guy on the phone said he doesn't know why they don't have it. He seemed kind of confused about it.
Maybe this is a good sign...maybe it means that Psychonauts is selling better than anyone expected.

Psychonauts arrived here in Brisbane, Australia yesterday afternoon. Five CDs of Psychonauts goodness, Psychonauts playing cards, Colour instruction manual, and one of the best games in a while. :D I haven't played much of it yet, but it's pretty damn awesome. :)
Good God almighty, it's finally shipped. Anybody have any idea (from past experience) how long it'll take to ship it to the UK via GameStop?
I'm not sure about the UK, but it took 4 days to ship to Australia with EBgames... I'm not sure the difference in distance, though... If anything it will probably arrive in the UK quicker...

Well I ordered from EBgames and it shipped with UPS. EBgames got it before GameStop I think. For you guys who are still waiting: It's worth waiting for... One of the best games I've played in a long time...

Got the same message. And mine arrived Saturday, in Boston, Mass. I wouldn't expect the USPS to deliver it Sunday.
And, I must say, this game is quite addictive - I just ran around the campgrounds for the longest time without advancing the plot at all.
I'm going to need that converter for the XBox controller, though - I do consider myself more of a keyboard person, but this is the first platformer I've played on the PC - I just think it's more conducive to playing with a gamepad.

Whoa, that is not cool. It would be appropriate of them to let these people download and iso of the missing disc, I think, although it is probably a bit unorthodox.
I sure hope the EB Games version is ok. Says it's "out for delivery" today, I am forcing my boyfriend to stay at home all day so we won't miss it. So! Excited! :D

No, just a regular disc 4 in the post. I didn't have to send the game back or anything... I get to keep the double. I'd prefer to have it sent to me rather than downloading it, because its best to have the actual CD, incase, for example, I wanted to sell the game later (doubt it though ;))
The new CD 4 should arrive in 3-5 days.

You can use it as a car dangley or something. string it over some fuzzy dice and roll in style. Or you can frame it and hang it on the wall...or glue it on a shirt? Strap some elastic to it and wear it like a party hat? Wear it like a necklace(bling bling)? Psychonauts frisbee? Sell it on Ebay as an exclusive HAUNTED by ghost, collector item? People have made up more ridiculous stories about crappier items on ebay, and sold them for exhorbitant amounts. It would make an interesting coaster.
Or you could just save it in case your cd2 gets scratched or stolen or otherwise damaged.
Finally I have it! So far it has exceeded my expectations, but I have not gotten my levitation badge yet and am at lvl 28. I am also completely antisocial, I turned down beer with a class mate. Oh well. :D No missing discs in the EB Games version.

The original game was $15.99 shipping, but they sent the replacement CD free.
Hope my GameStop order will be okay. Said "screw you" to Import Madness (which I've done before) and I returned - oh, the irony - to GameStop.
And they shipped it as soon as my order was through.
Patience is a virtue. Wish I had it.
