True story

It's washing day today. A day for laundry fun and wearing the last clean thing in my cupboard. So I needed to go down the street, and you have to get a mental image here:

Most of you have seen pictures of me by now (I'm not shy, I accept how I look). I'm wearing a Doctor Who t-shirt with the logo and a picture of the TARDIS, blue faded jeans, sneakers, I have a brown satchel over my shoulder (I named it 'Louie') with a Mike Wazowski from Monster's Inc teddy keyring hanging from it. I'm walking along completely absorbed in a Terry Pratchett book.

So... ultimate geek material, in other words.

I hear a wolf whistle, and there's these two girls across the other side of the busy street waving at me and blowing kisses. And they weren't making fun of me either.

So what the zebra is the deal with that?
