I am consistently crashing at one point on Nar-Shadaa. Visquis? has just been killed and I get a cutscene where Kreia blackmails Hanharr into helping me.
Just as the cutscene ends I see me standing next to the ventilation control room outside the arena thing, and then the game crashes.
This happens regularly, any possible way around it?
I can't just skip it as its directly after a cutscene. I get plenty of random crashing, but this one is every time and I can't continue the game otherwise :(
My specs are good, I can play on high settings apart from when swoop racing
well, to possibly confirm your theory, it doesn't sound like you have a hardware problem (although i wouldn't completely rule it out). so, the first question to ask in this case: do you have any mods installed for kotor2?
Had 1 robe mod installed, but I have tried without mods and it still crashes.
Its really frustrating as it takes me 5 minutes to find out if it crashes from having to click through the cutscenes.
I have tried from a multitude of different save points and am still crashing.
How far back a save should I go? Should I redo the whole planet? Or should I wait for the patch which will fix all the other bugs too?

well, considering the game gave you a warning in the config about your graphics card, i would try to turn down the settings a bit. the first spot i would go for would be the anitaliasing and the antistrophic filtering. try disabling both of those and check back here with your results. :)
Turned the settings down a lot: disabled AA and antistrophic, cranked texture details down to low, turned off soft shadows, frame buffers etc.
Still crashed :confused:
at least you partially solved any framerate problems. :rolleyes:
now i think i'm partially at a loss here. you may have one really random bug in your copy of the game. i guess this means you might want to try re-installing again. i honestly don't know if that will help though. :(
I was getting killer framerates :D but I changed it back because it looked like PS2 graphics.
Since its the holidays and I can't get hold of my copy of the game at the moment, I have decided to start a new game to see if I get the same bug.
I'm going to try doing stuff in a different order and see if I can get around it.
