JA+ ruins the game.

If you want a much better admin mod than JA+, try Xmod2 (http://xmod2.sourceforge.net/)

If you want a server replacement that adds great new features and fixes, and IS NOT abusive and unbalancing (screwing with gameplay) then try OJP (http://ojp.jediknight.net).

I tend to favor OJP, because I don't like abusive mods, and I like to run team based games, not duels.


MovieBattles2 looks rather cool, but keep in mind that it's a Siege mod. It's also 90+ megs, so be sure you want it before you grab it. ; ) No offense of course, I'd like to try it out myself.

But if you just want the core basejka gameplay with various fixes and some admin features, OJP is your best bet (and it's server side!).

If you STILL want to use JA+ (which I don't recommend), visit the JA+ forum and you can ask slider to help you.

Grapplehooks and jetpacks in class-based mods like Movie Battles II or ForceMod III is one thing. Grapplehooks and jetpacks for everyone is just dumb. They are silly crutches that players are either addicted to or that promote stupidity and lack of skill.

Simple, you don't install it, because it will ruin your JKA experience. ;)

Or, if you dont feel the need for movie battles (say you dont like seige, or because the file is huge) just go to Chop Shop like everyone else that plays the actual game does (its also in Jedi Outcast)

JA+ will make you not want to play JKA ever again (unless you really get something out of putting a grappling hook between someone's legs).

Chop Shop is great, but we can't ALL go there at once, Amidala isn't the only one running a "real" gameplay server.

I've got one, and RazorAce just opened one (see today's news), for example.

There's more, check that thread about "FFA Events."

At least half the JA servers are NOT running JA+, so among those there have to more "real JA" servers than simply the handful of Chop Shop associated ones.

Man.. those grappling hooks look aweful... (this shows I havn't played a JA + server in a while) I avoid them like the plague.

Wow... if your going to add stuff, make it look good. I remember when grappling hooks looked like a grappling hook.... you know, simular to Jango Fett's in Episode 2.

Force mod III ITS must more cool then JA+

The force mod really sucks!
