I was fighting slavers on the Ebon Hawk and I found a game flaw that actually helped me out.
I was hurt bad and decided to run and fight another day. In the course of running I went through the hull and out into some soft of null space. I could see back on the ship but I couldn't move.
Fortunately, the slave leader was where I could see him. He could not get to me but I was able to lob grenades on him. You would think that would cause a problem on a space ship. :-)
After his demise, I went to a cut scene then I was back on the Ebon Hawk.
