Hi,
I just installed KOTOR 2 and am running into the same problem I had with KOTOR 1, but it is now much worse. The problem is that my characters will often get stuck in one place and refuse to move for a few moments (30 sec or so). I cheated my way around it by switching from one party member to another before, but now I want to play the prologue and my droid is being very stubborn. My technical specs are bad and I'm surprised it even runs. The problem seems to be in my graphics card and Open GL drivers. The problem is, I don't know where or how to download anything more recent than what I already have (release date 2002, yuck), which is from my manufacturer, Toshiba, since I am on a laptop. Does anyone know how to get the right drivers or know another way to fix the problem?? Thanks a lot for any help!!

actually, if you download the latest video drivers from nvidia, you'll get the latest openGL drivers for your GPU at the same time. this should solve most problems that you're having with kotor & kotor 2.

also, i noticed that your running windows sp1. you might want to update your computer to sp 2. this will make directx 9.0c work much better with your computer in general (9.0c was designed for sp 2).

Also your cpu and ram (I assume it's PC-133 given the vintage) might be a tad overtaxed, try opening task manager and shutting down anything that isn't vital to the OS to free up some cycles. Failing that, turn off anisotropy and set everything to the lowest you can.
And get SP2 for sure.
Better yet, win the lotto and buy a new supercomputer. ;) We can all dream can't we?

ok thanks guys. again, I can't use that standard driver because I'm on a laptop, and have to get my drivers directly from Toshiba, who seem to never update them. I'll try SP2 once I can do a proper backup (the warnings scared me about losing all my stuff). But thanks again anyway.
