You could also pay for a new carpet (a bit extreme) or get some stain buster people around if you can't do it yourself.
Did you try using Oscar to rub the stain out? Cats have some kind of mystical thing going on being able to sleep all day maybe the same removes paint stains.
Edit: May also want to try badgers. They just may mushroom that stain out with a snake to spare....ok yea I know its corny stop staring at me.
