A little poem I came up with a while ago:
She fell in love with a partisan,
She thought their life together just began,
After a while she couldn't commit,
She took a breath and ended it,
And thats the way the story goes,
One rose dries, another rose grows,
Another life gone, she didn't have to quit,
She didn't understand the half of it,
He could've stopped if he knew she cared,
A beautiful life they could've shared,
And thats the way the story ends,
And like a heavenless angel, his life descends...
*ahem*
What do ya'll think of it?
Me too. It's really deep.
Oh yes, i thought that some of the metaphysical imagery was particularly effective.
*nods head thoughtfully and pretends to know about poetry*
Thanks all!
I tried not to use direct objects to describe some things (if this makes sense).
I wanted people to get their own image of what this poem meant.
