Okay, I'm a noob at Gmax, so I've got a noobie question. If I have a sphere sitting all nice and pretty in my Perspective pane, how do I simply chop off the bottom half to give it a flat bottom.
I've skimmed through the tutorials you can download and I've searched the 'Net, but I can't figure out how to do this. Probably cuz it's so simple everyone takes it for granted.
I surely don't want to do it vertice by vertice - there's got to be an easier way to do it.
It's a shame I can't just sculpt the danged thing in clay and then have Gentle Giant scan it in for me. I'm actually pretty good with clay.
*Argh* Any assistance is appreciated.
To make a hemisphere when you make your sphere on the right side of you perspective view port is your creation panel and below are the parameters one is to chop at … 180 because that’s half of 360 now that being said it’s also advisable to turn down your segments as well or you will see a very high poly model from your 16 segment starting primitive I would go to 8 or 10 segments depending on what you are building.
Hope this helps
