I made a mod that uses Bastila's head and clothes models for the PC with modded skins. I made it to only let the custom head use the custom cloths. It works flawlessly in game but causes texture corruptions in the PC creation section. Specificaly, the heads preceding and following the custom head use the custom cloths skin on their proper body models. They do use the correct skins in game. The modded head uses the default body and skin without corruption unless the custom head appears on the class selection screen, in which case it will use the custom body and skin. If I change heads and then go back the modded head it will then be corrupted as well.

The best I can figure out is that the PC creation section of KOTOR doesn't like the clothes models assigned to a specific head, even though the game engine itself doesn't have a problem with doing this. Am I correct, or have I missed something in modding the models? Everything does work flawlessly in game and no error logs are generated.

Thanks.

Is the soldier outfit the one you replaced with Bastila's? If so apparently that replacement affected the soldier texture somehow. How did you replaced it? Have you just placed N_Bastila in app.2da player row or was it something else?

So I'm right in that the game engine supports assigning specific clothes to a specific head, but not the PC creation engine? Good to know. Thanks for the reply.

Actualy the model is replaced regardless of class as I intended. It works fine in game. Just not in the PC creation section. I was just windering if this was a limitation of the PC creation engine or if I was missing something when I hex edited the models that was causing the texture problems. Based on what others have told me, I guess this is just something the game engine supports but not the PC creation engine.
