I have finally gotten the guts try and make my own mod but I going to start out by "upgradeing" stock weapons stats and feat given and stuff like that.

So is there simple editor or tool that I can download and work with?

Yes I have read the walkthrough but I think that sense I'm editing objects already in the game then that maybe something I need to watch out for or something.

2 editors are kotor tool you edit the utc's and any other gff editor you can find. but you really need to refer to the tools and mods stickie it has all this information there.

I already listed all the tools you need per mod category, including Item making in the Guide for the Newbie (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=129789) sticky. I also give basic information to get you started.

You can now do 99% of this stuff with Kotor Tool. Achilles made a good tutorial about editing properties and you can find it in the Do you want to mod SW-KotOR? (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=124284) sticky.

Please read the stickies before posting this kind of general question ;) Afterwards, you will be most welcomed to post all the questions you may have concerning KotOR modding.
