Duff = broken,nogood,useless etc..

Never heard of a bum being called duff ! besides they probably call them something stupid now like disadvantaged home person.

Ha and yet Websters dictionary calls duff a pudding boiled in cloth. Never heard of that one either,

To me, duff sounds like it could describe the kind of pointless banter one experiences posted here on occasion...
