Im doing a new japanese style sword in Gmax for the game.
I looks like the pic kind of, but its just to give you an idea. I will post more pics when im done:) .
i take it u got the idea from that new movie "Hero"...i like samurai swords much better...there was one REALLY nice one made for the HL engine...i wonder if it could be converted...but back on topic ur idea is good but u need to model it b4 any1 really takes interest

I actually have begun modeling it i just wanted to give an idea. I got the idea because it is sword i saw somewhere, not hero thought it looked cool.

This should give you a better idea, keep in mind it isnt done yet. I still have to refine it greatly. But it's getting there.

reminds me of link's kokiri sword from OoT...but with a hole in it
I did some reading up on the sword so I could do a decent description. The hole in the middle of the sword causes the blood to drain faster and provides fast movement for the sword.

Samurai swords are bad ass, especially Hattori Hanzo blade. of course it kills in one hit, which is retarded but dont make it too powerful.

It's just a reskin of the one of the shortsword textures. It also affects the in game shortsword with the red handle, can't remember the name off hand, which was the texture the person edited. You can get it at Meek's Modest Mod's (
http://meek.sytes.net/) . Along with Bastila's fall mod.
BTW this thread should probably get back on track. As in the great model Yoko is making. I'm for one wait to down load that sword. MELEE RULZ!!!
i'm makin my own samurai sword. so far, i have the blade completed, and the handle is well underway. sorry if i don't have pics, but just think, when i'm done, you can see the model in a full, skinned, and completed state. :D :D :D
btw, yoko, i love that sword as much as i like mine. i'm lookin forward 2 that one as much as my own.
