Casting lights through a grid

Hi,

I'm trying to make some sort of jedi temple in the desert. I'm doing an experiment with a corridor which has a grid in the top wall where light ccan pass through and light the inside of the corridor.

I did a spotlight with _sun 1 but it doesn't seems to work. please help me

I think you are using entity suns wrong. Your entity sun must exist somewhere within the map hull. Then use an appropriate sky shader everywhere you want your sun to cast light.

What is the "light" value on the light? It may simply not be high enough to shine through. Try making it 500+ if lower than that. Also, for sun entities, check out the tutorial on:

thanks for the help. the problem was i didn't use a skyshader but just a white texture :o :p
