im new to modding Kotor but i have started off with my first


its a Bothan, i love bothans, he came out, er sorta ok but he looks like the wooden man from the forest.... kinda like from the zelda games.........................

actually he looks like a Man Tree

i need to find a fur skin and find a model of this head with an enlarged nose, like a dog and long ears. this is my lil project, and i need to see if i can make the model smaller

ok well as i tried to add a fur texture, instead of that default wood looking stuff, it kinda blacked out on me, literally lol. im trying diffrent types of textures but none seem to be like a bothan, and i still need the head model, which i plan on doing as soon as i figure out how... lol

Skinning isnt too hard, im a Former Skinner for The Sims lol

ok im working on it a bit more, of course theres still some color error or something, i need to change the texture of the skin so it dont look like his fur is wood (actually its a finished wood texture, but it was as close to fur that i had lol) :c3po3:

I am working on getting the Nose right, the nose is one of my biggest issues here, the Bothans have a large nuzzle or what ever thats called with a small leathery nose on top. and the mouth is supposed to be at the end, like a dog! (i <3 dogs, reason i like bothans)

Trying to base this off Star Wars Galaxies but Bothans rock

im still looking into getting longer ears too lol

I belive head modeling is imposible for now..i read it in many posts and tier game just keeps crashing...

but hey i might be wrong, so knock yourself out

yeah i figure that it wont be possible for one of those big ol heads with the nuzzle and all. but the texture will have to do, all i am trying to do is make it not so, woody lol

the model im using though is proving to be useful, the eyes and teeth did good and the front of the face, the hair is messed up though

ok im going to crop some of this models hair, and use it as a texture, then lighten his oridgenal hair, ill see if that works


if it dont then hes going to be one really weird wookiee

im happy with how the face turned out, but im still puzzled about the hair, its too, solid. i need to make it look more poofy

For the status of new models in kotor, see this thread: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1589838#post1589838) ( it is impossible to make new heads :( )

due to that fact, the only way to get the true bothan body is to well, reskin a selkath

but im too inexperianced to do those all in one skins yet. gotta start low!

im working on one little tidbit on the hair and ears and then maybe find a way to put it up for DL

im going to try to post the skin on pcgamemods.com

the skin wont have its own portait, but u can do that if u wish hehe

the head with the long hair for men, its most peoples favorite, but dont it look a little, um, how should i put this... eh what the heck

he looks like he hasnt showered since bastila tried to kill him as revan

im going to take skins from the other skins and try to clean the face a little and give it a smoother look, and make him look like carth kinda, but not that much, same face and all, and stuff

but i also need to ask the experts here, i need to make my bothan skin a NEW head, not a replacer. any help in this area?

Master Bobo you caould have posted this in your thread about your bothan skin.

It may be possible to clean up the long hair, I think I saw a post the other day where someone got rid of Bastila's pony tails. Im not certain how it was done as I have yet to try anything like that.

There is nothing wrong with posting, Post as much as you need to, as long as you are on topic and when possible use exsisting threads to post about a subject. Like your bothan skin. ;)
