It is difficult to actually make a new feat in game and some feat types are completely impossible (EXAMPLE: DUELING)Check out this link to Biowares NWN Custom Content Forum:

http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=225991&forum=48)

I would recommend that anytime a search does not turn up anything here at Holowan that you do a search over at the NWN forums.

Im currently busy trying to make a special Armor proficiency feat. Ill let you know if i get it working or not.

EDIT: I managed to make a special Armor Proficiency feat and get it ingame.

Now all i need to do is find a way to add it to a piece of armor as a Feat Requirement.

You need a new base item. Heh, I needed this info too so I could start work on armor stuff for Wookiees. :p

My first ever official....

*bump*

More to the topic, someone had talked about making a new feat specifically for double bladed items and keeping the current [ingame] feat for dual wielding. Anyone want to give thoughts as to how hard it might be? I'd really like to see that in the game as the current dual wield feat is just too powerful.

Thanks!

i am not sure how you would go through with such a task but using the Great Fred Terta's Kotor Tool i found i file called feat.2da it is under the /bif/2da/

so this is all that so far i have found but i think it be a little like making a force power
and i big bit not

Right, but you still have to do little icons and stuff. There's got to be more to it than just editing Feats.2da; I think you need to do something with Spells.2da too, so it shows up and you can select it at level up.

Yeah, there is more to do, I think this is what you need to do. First you have to create a custom icon, (Shown in Darth333's tk102's, "How to make a custom force power"). Then you have to edit, Feats.2da, and write a custom script. But, I would take it from more experinced modders!:D

My bad. Spells.2da is Force Powers, not feats.

I keep hoping to pull in a really experienced modder to help us out...

Sorry to come late to this thread, but feats are handled by the game engine and only marginally by scripts. Editing feat.2da will not help you accomplish anything new. About all you can do is give someone a special feat and then check to see if that person a special feat -- that type of functionality is better handled with Global/Local variables or some other means.
