First go to :

Bifs \ templates \ blueprint, items \

find g_w_waraxe001 (its right down near the bottom of the list)

double click on it to bring up the gff editor.

Change the "template res" and "tag" (if you plan on this being a unique item)

change the "cost" and "additional cost"
go to the properties tab , youll see a clear line with a * at the left end. double click on that and bring up the "item property editor"

for poison damage : in the first drop down list find "on hit properties" this will open up the other drop lists , find the poison line in the second drop down list (subtype) , then go through the third one (value) and change this to what you want.

then the forth drop down list (Param 1) change to what type of poison you would like.

decide if you want it to only be added after you upgrade the item in which case change the "upgrade required" drop down list.

make other changes you want. thenc hange the description and name of the item , save to your override folder

load up the game , cheat int he item , check its working , skin ,properties , upgrades etc.

If your going to have this as a different model you will also have to extract the mdl and mdx for the axe and change a couple of things in there so the skin works with them fine. Check my waraxes at pcgamemods if you want more info on those.

Just a friendly reminder to everyone that it's generally a good idea to check the stickies and use the search function before posting a question. Many times, someone else has already asked the question and recieved a response :)

Thanks:D
