I just realized I never made any announcement threads for my Item Packs, after searching the boards for them for some time, I could have swore I did...
Doh!!!
So I had to make this one so I could post Bug Fixes etc.
Anyway a bug has appeared in the Revan/Sith/Bastila's Item Pack;
Thanks to Rebel at pcgamemods for posting about this problem, it breaks a convo cutscene on the Star Forge.
To solve the bug it will require the deletion the following 2 files from the override directory;
n_sithappren001.utc
n_sithappren002.utc
I am working on an update patch, using scripting to add the items they have into the backpack on the Bridge of the Endar Spire, but that will take me some time to do.
When I do get it finished I'll post it up on pcgamemods as a patch for the mod.
If you use my Revan/Sith/Bastila's Item Pack for now please delete the 2 aforementioned n_sithappren00X.utc files.
Really sorry about that everyone!
Note to all other modders who have used those two files, to place their items in the game, that you should find alternatives as well.
EDIT: Just to let everyone know I have released a patch for the Revan/Sith/Bastila Item Pack at pcgamemods, you can get it here. (
http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/6675.html)
Taken from the Readme;
This is a simple patch for the Revan/Sith/Bastila Item Pack that 2 files in it breaks a dialogue on the Star Forge, be sure to follow the installation instructions written below completely, thanks! ;^)
Thanks to Rebel for pointing this glitch out!
Installation Instructions:
-----------------------------
Unzip all of the files in this patch .zip, except this readme into your KOTOR override directory, and immediately DELETE the following 2 files in your KOTOR override directory;
n_sithappren001.utc
n_sithappren002.utc
This will stop those 2 files from causing unforseen errors on the Star Forge, Thank you!
Uninstallation Instructions:
-----------------------------
Simply delete these files from your override directory.
This Patch Does:
-----------------------------
This adds the items From my Revan/Sith/Bastila Item Pack originally dropped by the fighting Jedi and Sith on the Endar Spire to appear in a new Footlocker in the Endar Spire room where you have to Slice the Computer or Repair the Driod to help you kill the Sith in the next room, before you meet Carth and get to the escape pod.
This should eliminate the problem on the Star Forge. :D
A bit of background for everyone interested on my first 3 item packs, and why I made the items so freaking nasty:
Those items are quite discusting, I'm the first to admit that, as I have an innate dislike for the WotC Star Wars D20 system making a character fully dependant on the items they used, I was making a rebellious point by making all those items.
The weakest character imaginable becomes a 'diety' because of the right equipment that's the weakness of Star Wars D20, for a Fantasy based sword and sorcery game like Dungeons & Dragons item based game systems like D20 is just fine, but for Star Wars the character should be the focus, not their godlike items. I'm a fan of the older West End Games D6 system, where there the character was the prime focus, not the equipment. ;)
Now having said all that I wish to give Bioware their deserved kudos for taking such a game system as D20 Star Wars and making it so fun to play, even for those of us who 'hate' the Star Wars D20 system. Damn fine work IMHO. :D
