Just curious to see if anyone here has been using GtkRadiant on their mac to map.

There is a new simple forum for anyone who is interested in mapping on their mac, or anyone who couldn't get GtkRadiant installed. Dynamite made an illustrated tutorial to guide you step by step through the install process.

We are searching for some more people that have been using radiant and have run into questions and/or answers to anything that revolves around mapping on the mac.

Check it out if your interested. The forum is HERE (http://redsaurus.net/gtkradiant/index.php)

Thanks

Copied from http://redsaurus.net/gtkradiant/viewtopic.php?t=46&start=30)

Cool. I am working on a Jedi Academy map now. I guess I'll have to buy a Mac copy of the game now too.

I installed everything without a hitch. Unfortunately there is one glaring problem. Mouse freelook doesn't work in the 3D view! I can fly forward and back, look left and right, but when I click in 3D to start freelook "when a cursor shows" the view will not move. I already know how this is supposed to work from my countless hours on the Windows version of Radiant. Has anyone got a clue as to what is wrong? I am using a 3 button mouse with a scroll wheel.

Maybe I should visit the WIKI at qeradiant.com. There is just too little OS X support though.

And no- I can't live without freelook. I have spent hundreds of hours using it in the Win32 Radiant until it became completely intuitive, and without it my creativity is totally crippled. I can't believe with all the effort to port this that it wasn't a TOP priority. So sad. I am a huge Mac supporter, but I will be forced to use Radiant on my PC.
