I would like to change the Qel-Droma Robe as it appears in the game. Specifically, I want the robe to look like either the Dark Jedi Knight robe or the Dark Jedi Master robe but remain the Qel-Droma robe in other respcts. I think what I want to do is edit the item to point to a different texture.

Could y'all give me some details on how to do this; which files to edit, how to edit them and so on.
