I had heard criticism of it before and so it often called the worst SCUMM game.
I've often heard myself call it "a spectaluar adventure with a great, cinematic feel to it, excellent puzzles and an original, compelling plot with believable and interesting characters"
That's a lot of adjectives, I know, but I feel it deserves every single one of them, if not more.
