Another question directed at those who have played AOE / AOK . . .

I assume the games came with manuals. How big were they (so I can get an Idea of what the manual for SWGB will look like)

We talking newspaper, paperback, hardcover, or encyclopжdia size?

Do have the Encyclopedia Brittanica?.....its much smaller than that. ;)

Its a kinda small paperback, i'd tell you the number of pages but i can't seem to find it right now.

the strat. guide for this game will be about 2-3 times bigger than the aok manual. however, since there's a little more variety in this game, the manual could be bigger...

I love that part.

Course, I also enjoy reading the labels on soup cans . . . <grin>

True, I use to do that, too. However, the manuals tends to give away too much sometimes (like a manual I read that had the screenshot of the briefing of the last mission in the game :(), so I've decided to start playing games without consulting the manual first, using it only for reference. It worked fine with SWAT3!
