Yup, I've finally gotten back to adding new content and revising old stuff on Strategy Academy.

Check out the site here:
http://strategy.jediknight.net/jka/)

Especially noteworthy is the Siege page. I did some info on the HUD and the stats on Siege Destroyer. Also finally got those pics of the Siege items up (link off the Items page in the table).

Lots more to do of course and your suggestions & feedback are always welcome!

Thanks. ; )

Edit: Don't be shy, let's hear your constructive criticisms.

I like the additions, but I really think the site needs to add more actual strategies and tactics. So far it seems like an online game manual more than anything else. I'd love to see a someone talk about dogfighting tactics for the destroyer map. That would be sweet.

Ok so more in-depth articles. You're right about the "manual stuff" sadly that stuff took a lot of time and it still has a few bits missing.

Since it's basically just me working the site these days (I haven't seen sith in months), I'll probably have to start quoting people from the forums. But that's okay, there's a lot of stuff on here, if you just look!

Thanks for the feedback.

the guides in other guides seem to be a bit hidden too well, if a noob wanted for example ctf he would look under ctf and get yours instead of others users submitted in other guides..perhaps in each gametype section a header with all articles related to that gametype?

And in siege fer newbies take the link out from 'siege for newbies' so you wouldnt click on it and see the links at the right ;)

Very nice site so far Kurgan! :thumbs1:

Good point. Some of the stuff is harder to find. And sorry about that old guide I never posted!

People have sent me stuff in the past and I have forgotten to post those, I was kind of hoping I'd get more and then forgot. : P

Thanks for reposting, again like I said there is a lot of material in this forum to use in addition to that.

Perhaps linking those extra guides at the top of each article (say a table of links at the top of the Siege page or the CTF page) would be good?

yes that extra table is what i meant! that would be nice

see if you check these statistics;
Siege -Desert- Jedi Academy related 266
Siege -Korriban- Jedi Academy related 332
Siege -Hoth- Jedi Academy related 295
Siege -How to play- Jedi Academy related 870

You'll see that the intro is viewed more than 3 times than the others which I think means they thought that was all and they were being robbed :p but i changed it now to link to the others...Perhaps in the vacation I'll rewrite the 3 articles since they're outdated a bit (september)

I must say, Kurgan, I'm very, very impressed by your site. ;) It's very well detailed, for one thing. This is indeed an effective site for the newbies who don't understand a thing about Force. However, you would do better to include tactics of some more-harder-to-do moves, like Grip Kick, Pull Kick, Pull Saber Throw. They may be easy to do, but mastering them needs some skills, and guidance. You might want to put those in your site. :)

I'd have to look up the exact menu, but it's either in game options (as an on/off) or else in controls (as a button toggle).

Pretty sure it's options though. Mine was always on, so I never needed to change anything.

Okay, I added a new page of Hoth tips, sorry to sorta steal your idea Alegis, but I tried to give you credit. ; )

I don't see why i would mind; the page you made is much better and better organised with the screenies i'd be proud to have set the first steps :p

BTW some images on setup_basic.html do not appear, this is because
<p><img src="images/playmenu.jpg" alt="Click on &quot;Play&quot; then &quot;Join Server&quot;" width="384" height="288"></p>
would link to
http://strategy.jediknight.net/jka/images/playmenu.jpg). You forgot a / before images since images is located in the same folder as jka

Great site, it really is Kurgan.. everyone should definitely read it
