In a duel today I was fighting a guy in a wookie skin.

When I swung the saber went through him doing no damage.

I even got him to stand still while others watched. It went through every time.

Unless I hit low. If I crouched it hit him.

Is this a known hack, or just a bug. Is there any way to resolve it?

My guess would be that it's a problem with the skin/model. I don't think it's a known hack, b/c I'd have heard a lot more whining about it on this forum if it was, but I could be wrong...

That was my thought.

But it isnt just that guy. I have tested it with everyone. the left swing doesnt work on my server.

Tried it on another. it works fine there.

I am using Ja+ 1.7

Anyone else having this problem?

Update to JA+ 1.8A. 1.7 had hit detection problems.

Well you know the lag, the guy might seem standing still, but is actullay not there because of the lag.

Well if you were using a mod (you were) then I'd check the mod out first before I blame the game.

Lot of people don't realize just how many things can go wrong with bugs in mods. Always check what you've got running...

people often don't realize how they can change all the defaul gameplay only with one or 2 cvar which are are not obligatory the one of the mod but those of the game itself (particulary for saber management system)

Trust me it wasnt lag.

We tried it with different people standing still.

Left swing goes straight through.

Right swing doesnt.

Consistantly.

I upgraded to Ja+ 1.8, and it if working fine now.

I didnt change many server cvars. And the ones I did, I made sure I knew what they did before I changed them.

Thing is, we have been using 1.7 for ages before someone noticed this. Hopefully it was just our server.
