Anyone heard of a system running win98 SE not updating in windows update?
Two of my comps will not update and they need one bad.. I can figure out what's wrong.. anyone have any ideas?
P.S. I already tried kicking them ;)
i believe microsoft have stopped thier support of windows 98.
They changed their mind on Win 98SE support, it is to stay for another year or so before they fully pull the plug on it.
We still use 98 on some of our computers and we can update them.
I had a problem the other night while trying to update XP. If you clicked on the "Updates Ready to Install" icon in the systray, then you need to reboot. That is if you are trying to use the update tool in IE to go to the MS website. i think their server was acting a little goofy the other night too....
I don't have any problems at all updating this computer.. It's the other two and that's what is odd...
