First impressions

its like playing JO 1.03 and skill wise you don't need much to play the game well.

JO 1.03 is a way different story, I would just stand somewhere and look around in CTF_Imperial and find EVERYONE running backwards with their saber in a cirkle

this is much different, if you think it's easy to pull of a kata, well it is, but if you do so blindly before me you're dead meat, it's easy to counter them (at least with single saber set to red) you need to time them well or not use them at all vs advanced players

Don't forget that you can also do the blue style lunge.

ok you cant pull and backslash. but all i have been doing is jump in and backslash still same result. plus like 1.03 you dont need skill to live/kill all you need to do is mash the special moves.


lucky i got this game real cheap as its a cheap arse game.

i would of pushed my self to pay 15Ј tops as a update for JKO but as a game in its own right thats a bit of a joke.

seems they made the game for all the fanboys out there as thats the only thing its good for.

Trust me on this, a LOT of people assume that the game takes no skill when they first start, but that's because they haven't learned the game yet.

Playing people who are, shall we say "n00bs" is one thing (where using the same move over and over might actually work on them), playing skilled players is another.

Sure, you have your elite players who will tell you that Sabers Only Full Force CTF in JK2 1.04 was the most challenging game experience yet.

But even if you agree with that, saying JA takes no skill, is completely and utterly bogus.

Try playing on my server (Kurgan's Meatgrinder) sometime, I dare ya. You'll see that it's not as you say.

I consider JA 1.01 to be far superior to anything in JK2, but then each to his own. If you like JK2 better, you always have the option to keep playing it, though admittedly that community now is pretty much honor saber dominated. ; p

Both games are about so much more than saber dueling, but sadly too many players refuse to learn anything new, so they miss out on a lot of the experience.

If you want JK2 style gameplay in JA, try Xmod2 by team MasterHex of team =X=.

Buuuut, this topic has been done to death. "JA sucks it's not just like JK2!" "No you suck!!" "No you suck!!!" etc. Since you don't seem to have anything new to add, why bother at all?
