Is it possible to change attributes of those EFX (effect) files
from the code before playing them ??

For example can i over write the end point of the lightning
beam in the effect file with a point which i calculated in the
code ??

That's an excellent question. I have no clue but I'd like to know as well.

Actually, try checking out the saber marking effect. That might use efx files that are set dynamically (to draw the burn line).

This is a very noobish comment from me, but don't you just use EffectsEd from the sdk?
