Probably been asked several times already, but I just want to know if someone put together a simple script or module to use, for instance NPC skins? Saw some screenies of some guy playing with Mission Vao.
What you've probably seen are player model changes, which can be accomplished in a number of ways (custom items, scripts, savegame editing). There are quite a few threads with information on this process, but to get you started:

And so forth. As for actual skinning (texture changes), it's possible although I don't think anybody has really done that yet, aside from a few tests.
Thanks, I'm going to start fiddeling with this as soon as I can...
I've been messing about editing textures (I gave Mission Yuthura's skin...). First I used NWNViewer to get the textures, which are in UNK format, so I used an extension changing utility to rename the unk files to tpc, then used the fabulous, fabulous tpc2tga converter to turn the textures into something I can mess about with. What I'd REALLY like is a batch converter, oh yeah... :)
What i really want to edit are the textures of the armours and outfits, but i don't know which textures they are.
Oh, and you can double the size of textures for greater detail, which is nice.
I'm a layman really, but I guess now is a good as time as any to start learning all this skinning and modding (have done some simple modules to NWN in the past so...).
Do you have any links to tools I might need to start skinning a bit, except for the NWN toolset that? I've got Lil'Jawas mod builder so far, but that doesn't really help me skin stuff...
I used the NWN Viewer I got from here (
http://www.extractor.ru/download_other.phtml) to extract the texture files from swpc_tex_tpa.erf, then used a file extension changer I got from here (
http://www.psychology.nottingham.ac.uk/staff/cr1/ezxtn.html) (although you could probably find a better one) to change the UNK extension to TPC, then used eiz's TPC2TGA converter from this (
http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=120975&perpage=40&pagenumber=2) thread for the long process of converting to editable TGA files, which you can mess about with and throw in the override folder.
Edit: Actually, I just remembered it wasn't the NWN Viewer I used to extract the files from the erf, it was a program called Neverwinter Nights ERF Utility (
http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/other/data/1053576776593.shtml).
Cheers. Starting the downloads now. Hopefully I'll get some time to get this going.
Thanks you once more.
