I actually haven't played Pazaak since my first time on Taris. I was scarred for life, and now I will always tell Pazaak NPC's to get lost as evilly as possible. :dev7:

Just goes to show you, never gamble with an NPC! I've never played the game (Pazzk) and prolly will not ever. There are easier ways to get credits:)

Are you playing as light or dark sam, and, how many times have you completed it?

Once through Light, not Dark yet. I'm in the middle of a second Light.

i play this game alot. it is not really that difficult. very easy in the beginning. becomes a little harder as the game goes on. but you can get some nice stuff from playing the game. besides credits.

if you have such a hard time with it save before each hand. it's that simple. then if you lose reload your last saved game. once you build a decent deck though, you really won't lose that often.

you can get decent items form this minigame, and beating the storekeeper on yavin ten times will significantly reduce his prices. i don't see what the problem is. from my experience you can get lucky or unlucky just as often as the npc's. it's all about taking risks and knowing when not to. it's just as much gambling luck as any other gambling card game. (though i have not read the thread above yet....but i also have not had a hard time winning either)

LOL!Good one,Samuel!
Anyway,when I play Pazaak,I bet 1 credit.Makes me a miser,don't you think?

Until I get a better deck,1 credit is the most I'm gonna bet.Period.

Are there any attribute modifiers for Pazaak?

Because, like alot here, I hated the game, I swear the NPCs would cheat, and I'd get the worst draws... but then, I made another character, and went more Charisma, Intelligence, and Wisdom, (my first character was a soldier), and I seemed to be "luckier".

After noticing this, I've started to play Pazaak alot - I'll save before each match and load if I lose! :p

So far I've made some good money - and since I'm Light-Side I seem to give more creds away then I earn (atleast on Taris), and if you keep beating the player on Dantooine, he'll give you an awesome side deck - all +/- cards! If you get a side deck of all +/- cards, your chances of winning increase by a bunch.

very very true. that is the key to a good deck in pazaak. all +/- cards.

i haven't had really any problems with the game. for a while there i felt like the computer was cheating and seemed to be able to draw endlessly without busting. but just to see if i could do the same, one round i watched the npc get a mystically easy 20. and i was at 18, just for the heck of it i hit end turn, and lo and behold i hit 20 as well. really it's all luck for either side. i've hit the easy 20 before and seen the npc bust with a 28. it's as much luck as playing blackjack in the casinos. it's all about what risks you are willing to take.

and since you can save before every hand, you aren't taking much of a risk anyway. the rewards for beating people ten times can sometimes be very beneficial. so i would not recommend anyone simply skip this mini-game.
