ok, im making a level, and I want to have rolling terrain, so I added some simple patch mesh from the curves menu. The problem is, when I try to test the map, the game wont load it and shows this message-Error-MAX_MAP_PLANES

Any ideas how I can correct this, the BDC Racing Club map has hills all over it, and I cant add a single hill to mine!!

Thank you

BDC uses terragen which makes the terrain out of brushes.

Your using a path with too many vertacies. I wouldn't use a patch that has more than 9 vertacies as anything larger starts to deform and then if you go larger (especialy a 15x15 or larger) you get the error your having. *I* would use terragen for the terrain anyway.

how do you make the vertacies smaller? and btw it gives me that error not when i make a simple patch mesh, but whenever i try to cap a cylinder, and it happened all of a sudden, everything that i capped appears in the debug menu..... and well i kind of need those caps,
i tried deleting and recapping the cylinder or cones but its still the same error

actually, i used easygen, not terragen (pretty much the same thing though) to make BDC racing.

the hills are brushes, not patches
