I have created a very basic MP map for Jedi Adcademy. But I have two errors...
Error 1: When I push "create game" or "solo game", the map name show up with the other maps, but there is no levelshot! I have created a levelshot, placed it in the levelshots directory, named it bigbox.jpg (the name of my map is "bigbox", Couldn't make up anything better:P).
Error 2: When i click "start game" while my map selected, the main menu loads...
If I write "map bigbox" in the console, the map loads. The levelshot shows up fine while the map is loading. The map works fine, and everyone is happy.
Please tell me how to solve these two problems.
PS. I'm a real mapping newbie! So go easy on me!
Level shots must be in powers of 2. 256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024, etc...
1024x769 will work as well.

It's Ok, everyone here were once mapping n00b themselves:p
But it is already 1024x1024, so why doesn't it work???

Huh? Don't they always have to be square?
Carl, why don't you post your .arena file up here, maybe the error lies in that.
Hey wait! I got it! teh arena file is incorrect!
I'll just have to fix it. thanks for the help.

Should've checked out Orbital Extreme.. :p
Ok, I fixed the arena-file, now the map works fine! Thanks for all your help!
(For those who are interested, the problem was: I had written "ffa_bigbox" in the arena-file, but the map is called just "bigbox":D)
769? err, wha? I tried 1024x768 before and JA wasn't happy. Why on earth would it accept 769? In what dimension is that a power of 2?

In GothicX's dimension. :P
He has a very special dimension :)
Wade, you reviewed my map for jk3files, you should've seen that the levelshot was 1024x769. Don't ask why it works, just know it does. :)
Why would I look at the resolution of the levelshot, it's in the PK3 and the PK3 goes in base...?
