Dissapearing polygons

I finished turning the Droid StarFighter into a vehicle, which wasn't easy, since he had about 12 thousand verticals.

So I used MultiRes to cut the number down, which while obviously made it look less smooth, didn't cut too much, at least that's how it looked like in 3D Studio Max.

When looking at it ingame, I noticed that the wings has some major polygons. It doesn't look THAT bad, but it doesn't look good either.

Please help.
