I re-opened this old forum due to some requests for a dedicated servers admin help forum specifically for those wishing to host their own game of Jedi Academy of Outcast.

I urge people to continue to post in the other help forums (Technical Help for problems with running the game: http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=159), Strategy Shack for game playing tips or questions: http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=158) as well, but this should be restricted to server questions and helpful information posts.

Also, please read the stickies before posting!

Good luck...

Cool So I was wondering if there is a way to keep My custom bot from not being kicked out of the server when people join the server. My Servers Run 24/7 So at times when clan members or public want someone to spar with the "bot" has been helpful in jk2 so I wanted to use it in JKA as well. Just the prob with it being kicked is defeating the purpose of it.

Any Ideas anyone ?

You could set botminplayers to something like 4 (and the maxclients to 6) and just spawn all the bots as your bot, so if there are any bots in the game ever they would be your's.

Of course anytime a bot is kicked, when it's replaced it will be with another bot from the list (see botlist in the console).

Oddly enough some bots don't seem to be listed anymore (like Lando) and I'm not sure why.

Anyway, that's what I'd suggest, just make all the bots your bot, and hopefully people will see him or else you'll have to be there to spawn him in for people.
