The demo looks to be from an early design stage

I wonder if maybe the demo was made early in the games making and this is what they gave us to chew on. I have seen horrible demos way worse than this one.

It is 70 megs...with how long its been taking me to d/l it I am happy it is not any bigger and I am sure I am not alone on that. Cheer up people we only have what forty five days till we open those lovely boxes and get enveloped into the Star Wars universe again?

So what the demo sucks single player, but maybe just maybe they are saving the best for last.

Yeah, and the grphics are kinda bad but thats probably because the demo was in an early design stage.

You're in for an unpleasant surprise if that's what you think.

It's AoK graphics. AoK ain't exactly brand spankin new.

What do you mean by an unpleasent surprise? You think thats what the graphics are going to really look like? Come on now, good graphics lies in the eye of the beholder.

I think this is Lucasarts last chance at saving face in the RTS realm, and I dont think Ensemble is going to ruin its so far impeccable reputation for excellence on garbage. They cannot afford to blow it, so just enjoy.

You aren't. Me, for one, with my 50 600 bps modem.. 1 mission is enough for me, I'll buy the full game anyway.

1) The graphics are good, IMO.

Additionaly, I think they're good in the view of the developers, so, well, if you desire something better, you'll have to make it yourself (don't be put back by this, I know a project on the Web that's made X-Wing Alliance 10 times more good-looking: http://www.xwaupgrade.com). Just start "BGUpgrade.com". :)

2) LEC: The game is currently in the beta stage, meaning that all features and material is locked and the only tasks that remains are fine-tuning and bug squatting. Meaning no new graphics.

3) The graphics in AoK.. let's face it, will those villagers ever win a beuty award? No. Did AoK become popular. A simple "Yes" is insufficient, IMHO ;). More descriptive: Did Red Alert sell well?

4) Look at the BG terrain. Okay, it's a bit to bright, in my opinion, but its still good.

That should about say it.

I happy I preordered the game. Everyone else, it is a demo, we can expect improvements. Be happy you have something so soon.

If thats what the final version of the game looks and plays like, i would be pleased. I don't know about you, but i really enjoyed the single player. It was a fun mission, and you got to see alot of units. Sure, you couldn't build a base, but thats not everything.

Whether or not the graphics are the greatest, the game has the one thing that matters.....it is FUN.

Also, if you have looked at the screens i posted, those are brighter than it appears in the actual demo.
