Please help, I am trying to play Multiplayer but I am behind a firewall and I can't find any documentation on how to configure it for Jedi Academy. I have read the FAQ here, but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.
I'm in exactly the same boat bro. E-mail the folks at jediknight.net (using the Contact button on the home page) and ask them to help. Be specific and ready to send a couple of e-mails back and forth; i still haven't gotten my firewall issue resolved.
I've had academy a week and a half and still haven't played online! :swear:
Ah well...
Hook me up man-- if you figure a way outta your firewall, give me a buzz. AIM: jaggedhadjie E-mail: jaghadjie@cinci.rr.com I'll do the same for you.
Cha-ching!
good stuff man. im not sure what ur runnin scott, but with my cable gateway from linksys, i entered the triggers into the forwarding slots, like this: FROM - 28060 TO - 28060 in one line, then on to 28061-28061 and 28062-28062 in the next two. the last line was FROM - 28070 TO - 28081. these are all set to udp. i entered those #s along with the last digits of my IP in each of the boxes on the left, and i did NOT have to enable those slots. my DMZ also needed to be set to my IP.
oh yeah, one more thing! IMPORTANT, too: set the first slot in the forwarding to: FROM - 29071 TO - 29079 and when it asks tcp or udp, pick both. i did not enable this one either.
Good luck! and if all else fails, call linksys! 1-800-326-7114
JA supports socks4/5 proxies, if there's one available edit or add these line to the jampconfig.cfg:
seta net_socksPassword "" // only socks5
seta net_socksUsername "" // only socks5
seta net_socksPort "1080" // enter port-# duh! ;)
seta net_socksServer "" // enter your socks server here (IP or adr)
seta net_socksEnabled "0" // change to 1 to use the socks server
seta net_forcenonlocal "0" // this can stay on 0, unless your comp is the only one behind the FW
There are about ten threads about this, so don't feel alone.
