- With the death of Darth Malak also came the death of the Sith, at least for the time being. Peace was felt all over the galaxy. Revan and Bastilla Shan got married and quit the Jedi Order to live out their own lives. HK-47 and T3-M4 served at their side. Canderous Ordo risked his life for a young Jedi. He was killed by a Dark Jedi because of this. He will go down in history as the bravest and most worthy person to ever hold the title : Mandalorian. Mission Vao fell in love with another Twi'lek that her brother had introduced her to. They married and settled down together. Zalbaar returned home to Kashyyk, where a great feast and cerimony were held in his honor. He now serves at his father's side. Juhani and Jolee Bindo now train young Jedi. Under their patient and caring hands will come many great Jedi over time. Carth Onasi gave up his life as a Republic soldier. He remarried and spent more time with his son, Dustil Onasi.
History, as always, repeats itself. In time, a new Dark Lord of the Sith has risen up from the ashes of the old Sith Empire. His name is Lord Zera. His power in the Dark Side of the Force is incredible. No single Jedi would stand a chance against his great power. His apprentice, Darth Hadeous, wishes only to serve his master, and the throught of overthrowing his master is simply foolish to him. He is happy with his position in the Empire, which makes Lord Zera even more deadlier. The Sith are slowly rising, they will soon attack the Republic with all they have, and that is just the begining .... -
- The location : outer space, near Quadra, the planet that holds the Republic's main base. The ship : the Lucky Number. Shado Vorn, one of the Jedi Masters placed on board the Lucky Number to protect it's crew, awakens in his bed, to find the ship under attack by the Sith. Immediately, he dresses in his Jedi robes, and places his lightsaber on his belt. He makes his way through many hallways of the ship, one room leading to a different one, in heavy search for the crew and the other Jedi that were stationed with him. As nears the bridge, he notices another Jedi fighting a few Dark Jedi! The Sith have boarder the Republic ship! Without further thought, Shado grabs his lightsaber. A furious snap hiss sound fills the room of the ship. Shado use the Force to jump at his enemies, knocking two of the Dark Jedi to the floor. He spins and impales one of the Dark Jedi with his lightsaber. One down, two to go. The other Light Jedi swings as well, decapitating a Dark Jedi. Obviously, now wasn't the time to try to negotiate with the enemy, as they didn't seem to want to talk. At the same time, Shado swung at the remaining Jedi, the other Light Jedi swung two. The two Jedi's lightsaber blades met, slicing the Dark Jedi's midsection in two. -
=?=
Thanks for the assist. I don't normally mind three on one odds, but I just woke up, and am still ... well ... I was half asleep.
=Shado Vorn=
I'm just glad I could be here in time to help. My name is Shado Vorn. And yours?
- To be continued -
(you for got hopefuly:D)
my name is rick ulo
- Shado shook Rick's hand, then let his hand fall back to his side, as did Rick. -
=Shado Vorn=
Pleasure to meet you, Rick. Normally, I'd take more time to get to know you, but obviously we have a bit of a situation here. We need to find the crew of the ship, and the rest of the Jedi, if there are any of either left .... any leads?
=Rick Ulo=
Yeah, the ship's under attack, but you already knew that. Yep ... that's about all I've got on leads.
- Shado's expression changed from casual to very serious, in a matter of seconds. -
=Shado Vorn=
Well, my Jedi friend, we'll get no leads standing around waiting for the ship to explode. We better move out and look for the others!
- Rick's expression changed to a serious one as well as he nodded in agreement. -
=Rick Ulo=
We should split up, Shado. We'll cover more ground that way.
=Shado Vorn=
Good idea. We'll meet at the bridge of the ship, agreed?
=Rick Ulo=
Agreed.
- Rick and Shado split up and searched seperate parts of the ship for survivors. So far they weren't very lucky. The only thing either of them could find so far, were busted up droids, dead Republic officers, and Sith troopers. They each fought their way through the ship and searched for survivors at the same time. Things weren't looking very well for the two Jedi. Would there be any hope of finding survivors? More importantly, would there be enough escape pods on the ship for them? Only time would tell .... -
Suddenly, Shado noticed a pair of legs sticking out from behind a piece of the wall that had come loose. He used the force to remove the piece of wall and was immensely surprised at who he found.
"Brittany?" he asked. She was unconscious and didn't answer him so he picked her up and carried her to the bridge. On the way, she woke up and jumped out of his arms, knocking him backwards.
"Shado?" she questioned when she finally realized who he was. "I didn't realize you were on the ship."
"I didn't realize you were," Shado replied. Brittany shrugged.
"I guess surprises come in many forms," she said.
"Come with me," Shado told her. "There was one other surviver so far."
"Is it Rick?" she asked. Shado stared at her.
"You know him?" he asked. She rolled her eyes.
"If you took time to think, I bet you would find that you know him too."
Shado couldn't remember and Brittany saw it on his face.
"Five years ago?" she questioned, trying to get him to remember.
rick came in with a backpack shado asked what it was he said datapads rick had decided thaat eventualy shadow would recognize him but then he just yelled dont you remember me!!!???
- Shado was in a great state of confusion. In fact, he didn't seem to remember anything aside from Brittany, the fact that he was a Jedi, and that he was placed on the ship to protect it ... -
=Shado=
The ship!
- Shado rushed off further into the ship. Rick and Brittany looked at eachother, worrying about Shado, but remember they were also on a ship that was currently being attacked by the Sith. They quickly followed Shado, lightsabers in their hands just in case. As Shado reached closer and closer to the bridge, he noticed a room which had been locked. He stopped before it. A simple lock wouldn't stop him from finding out what lies behind the door. A quick snap hiss and a swing of his lightsaber opened the doors. Shado didn't like what he found. He fell to his knees in despair. Rick and Brittany finally caught up to him. -
=Rick=
Wha ...
- Rick quickly got his answer before he even finished his question. He just stood there. Brittany followed up behind him, about to ask what was going on, but her question was quickly answered as well. -
=Shado=
They're all dead. The crew .. the Jedi .. all dead.
- Blood stains covered the walls of this room. The wounds on the Jedi and crew were obviously made by lightsaber blades. This was by far, a cruel fate for these innocent people. Shado rose to his feet to face Brittany and Rick. -
=Shado=
Time is up. We need to get to the bridge. I can only hope there is enough escape pods for the three of us.
=Brittany=
And if there isn't?
=Shado=
Then we'll have to make due. Let's go.
- Shado's voice was suprisingly calm. Rick and Brittany knew Shado better than that though. Shado couldn't hide the sadness in his eyes. The trio made their way to the bridge, where a Dark Jedi Knight stood before two escape pods, about to take his leave, when he noticed them. He quickly drew his double bladed lightsaber and stood in battle ready position. Shado, Rick, and Brittany drew their lightsabers and prepared for battle as well. -
=Dark Jedi=
Fancy meeting you three here! My master will be greatful to me for ending your lives!
=Shado=
...
=Rick Ulo=
All talk and no action, so very typical of you Dark Jedi scum.
=Brittany=
Quickly, boys. ATTACK!
- Without another word, the battle began. Lightsabers clashed and clashed again. Shado's anger was clearly fueling him in this fight. He was tired of seeing the innocent being slaughtered by the Sith. He showed this anger through his relentless attacks against the Dark Jedi. He would no stop attacking, he wouldn't slow down, nothing. He was unleashing his fury. Finally, Shado saw a quick mistake the Jedi had made, and took full advantage, knocking him down. Without any last words to the Dark Jedi or from the Dark Jedi, Shado slayed him. Rick and Brittany paused for a moment, never before seeing this side of Shado. It was .... frightening. Shado returned his lightsaber to his side, as did Rick and Brittany. Shado turned to them and spoke. -
=Shado=
There are two escape pods. You two will use them. Go.
- Shado did not wait for them to respond, he opened the hatch doors to the two remaining escape pods and motioned for them to get inside. They did not. This angered Shado. -
=Shado=
Get in the damn pods! There's no time left!
=Rick=
I would never leave a friend behind! Have you gone mad, Shado?
=Shado=
Mad? After seeing those Jedi and crew? Perhaps. Why did you pretend you didn't know me, Rick?
=Rick=
Well ... I kind of thought you were joking with me ... obviously you weren't.
=Brittany=
How did you recognize me, Shado?
=Shado=
I didn't. I saw you, and a flash appeared in my mind, and your name was heard in it. I don't remember you either, which is why you two should go. I remember nothing, nor do I care to. If I'm lucky, the Sith will be searching for survivors. I'll take one of there ships ... NOW GO!
=Brittany=
NO! I won't leave you here and neither will Rick!
- Shado couldn't wait any longer. He knew it would only be moments before either the Sith would destroy the ship, or they would send a search crew. He couldn't take any chances on waiting for Rick and Brittany to change their minds. -
=Shado=
Fine. What then, do you propose we do?
=Brittany=
You can go in my escape pod, Shado. We'll make it.
=Shado=
Be rational, Brittany. The escape pod is too small and you know it. All it would take is landing hard enough, and I would fly right out of it and to my own death, it would also put your life to risk. I know of another way off of this ship, I will be fine. Now please, go.
=Rick=
I don't believe you, Shado. I can sense it. Either you go with us, or we don't leave.
=Shado nodded his head. There was no time left. Shado motioned for them to enter the pods. They did so, but slowly and cautiously. Shado walked toward Brittany's pod. He had to keep his mind completely clear and focussed for what he was about to do. If they knew what he was planning, he wouldn't be able to save them, and they'd all three die. Shado quick used to the Force to slam the escape pod doors shut. He could feel Brittany and Rick trying to pry the doors open, but Shado wouldn't let them die, even if he didn't remember them. They seemed like good people, and one death was better then three. Shado punched in a few coordinates for the nearest, safest planet for the pods to land. He could feel the two using the Force even harder now. He held them tight. He sent a message to them through the Force and his mind. Before he pressed the launch button. -
=Shado=
~ Do not fight this. All I must do now is press the launch button. If you continue to fight me, as you are launched into space, you will have broken the doors to your pods and committed suicide. I am trying to keep you both alive. Stop fighting. I've accepted my fate. May the Force be with you. ~
- Shado then felt the Force shift heavier into his power. Brittany and Rick had realized there was nothing more they could do, and accepted the current situation. Shado pressed the launch button, and the two pods were flung out into space. Shado hoped secretly that they would be okay. He then turned and glanced out a window of the ship. He didn't know what to do now, so he figured if he would now die, he would be looking at the stars and the beauty of space as it happened. Suddenly, marching in step was heard behind him. He turned to find a big group of Sith troopers, all with blaster rifles and pistols pointing at him. -
=Sith Captain=
You do understand that your only way off of this ship is through us, correct?
- Shado nodded, his expression hardened as he did so. -
=Sith Captain=
Good. I take it you are to come with us willingly, then?
- Shado nodded again. -
=Sith Captain=
Excellent. Take his lightsaber and place him cuffs.
- Shado handed his lightsaber to a Sith trooper. What the Sith had not noticed, is that Shado used the Force as they all walked away, to grab the double bladed lightsaber from the now dead Dark Jedi. He hid it under the back of his robes. The Sith took him to their ship, and the ship slowly drifted off into space, as the ship Shado was formerly on, was blown to bits. -
rick wasthe first to land on a strange planet he did no recognize it was a desert but it only had one sun so it couldnt be tantooine he saw a reckage and figured it was brittanys escape pod he started walking towards it
Brittany crawled out of the escape pod and looked around. A desert, but not Tatooine. Where was she? She noticed somebody walking her way and figured it must be Rick. She went to meet him.
"The ship exploded," she said, looking into the sky. "Unless he was picked up by the Sith, Shado didn't survive."
She stared into the sky, as if she was angry for not being able to sense what Shado had in mind. Suddenly, she stared across the desert sand.
"We need to find a city somewhere," she said.
ya when iwas looking around i saw some formations if its nota city its some mounntainsit dosent matter its all shelter
- Shado was escorted all the way to his jail cell. Once inside, the Sith patted Shado down just to be safe. Shado had quite the reputation for being a crafty Jedi, afterall. Unfortunately for him, they found his double bladed lightsaber. A Sith guard socked him in the ribs, left the cell and locked it behind him. Shado paused for a minute, then returned to his feet. He decided to sit on his bed and try to find a solution to his problem. As he grew deeper in thought, a voice called out to him from the next cell over. -
=?=
A Light Jedi Knight? Oh dear ... I truly must be doomed if the Sith are managing to capture Jedi Knights!
- Shado raised an eyebrow and rose to his feet. He walked over to the cell bars. -
=Shado=
Who's there?
=?=
I am droid model T-3PO. My purpose is to translate alien languages to my master ... my former master .. that is. Such a terrible fate befell him. He was slain by the Sith.
=Shado=
So why did they throw you in a jail cell?
=T-3PO=
They locked me up because they figured I could be of more use to them later on. I do so wish to leave this place! Will you help me escape, Master Jedi? I would be forever greatful and would be more than happy to serve you for the rest of your days!
=Shado=
I would help you regardless, Teethree, but first, I have to figure a way out of this cell on my own ... wait .. be quiet, Teethree. I hear the guards returning. I have an idea ... I hope it works.
- Shado waited until he heard the footsteps stop at his cell, and the other at T-3PO's. They were each guarding the occupied jail cells now. Shado knocked on the door of his cell. The guard ignored the knock. -
=Shado=
Guard? GUARD!
=Sith Guard 1=
Shutup in there. I'm not falling for any of your Jedi tricks.
=Shado=
All I ask is that you hear me out for one minute of your time. I am a very wealthy person, and my life is much more important to me than my credits are. Please, just hear me out!
- The Sith soldier that was guarding T-3PO's cell walked over to the other Sith guard. -
=Sith Guard 2=
What's the problem?
=Sith Guard 1=
The Jedi's trying to use a get rich quick scam on us. He really must think we're dumb.
=Sith Guard 2=
Well, it wouldn't hurt just to listen in on it, the Sith aren't exactly paying us enough credits to do what we do anyway.
- The other guard shrugged. The two guards turned to face the cell. Shado reached out with the Force and entered the minds of the two guards. -
=Shado=
You want to let me out of my cell. You also want to come into my cell and pretend to be prisoners for fun.
=Sith Guard 1=
I think he's right. We should let him out. He is a nice guy, after all.
=Sith Guard 2=
You're right. I think it'd be fun to pretend we're prisoners too.
- With that said, the guard used his prison key to open the cell door. Shado walked out, the two guards walked in. Shado quickly closed the door behind them and locked it. The guards broke out of their trance and realized the mistake they had made but it was already too late. -
=Sith Guard 1=
You won't get away with this, Jedi!
=Sith Guard 2=
Let us out of here now, we demand it!
- Shado let out a small laugh as he ignored their further insults and walked over to T-3PO's cell. He unlocked it and opened it up. T-3PO hobbled out to freedom. -
=T-3PO=
Oh thank you, Master Shado! Thank you so much!
=Shado=
Don't thank me yet, we're not out of here yet ...
Brittany and Rick made their way to the formations Rick saw, but they were only rocks. Brittany sighed.
"I was hoping for a city," she said. "Now how are we going to get off this planet? I don't sense any life here."
- Shado looked around and noticed his new lightsaber sitting in a box. The Sith guards must have placed it there after they locked him up. He walked over to it, leaned down a bit, grabbed it, and acivated it. -
=Shado=
Let's get out of here, teethree.
- T-3PO looked a little startled at the newly found lightsaber but was a bit releaved that his new master had a way to defend them, at least. Shado paused for a moment with a look of shock on his face. -
=T-3PO=
Master? What is wrong?
=Shado=
We're in big trouble. I forgot to take the guard's comlinks from them. Damn!
=T-3PO=
Oh dear! Oh me! Oh my! Oh no!
=Shado=
Calm down! How good are you with a weapon?
=T-3PO=
Well, I suppose that in cases of emergency, my programing allows me to use blaster pistols and rifles, but that doesn't mean that I'd be any good with them!
=Shado=
Well, think of this as a learning experience!
- Shado leaned down and picked up one of the blaster rifles that the Sith guards left behind. He handed it to Teethree. Shado activated his lightsaber once again and the two left the jail cell, only to find a large group of Sith soldiers waiting for them! -
=Shado=
I have a bad feeling about this!
=T-3PO=
You stole the words right from my mouth ... m .. m ... Master!
- Without further discussion, Shado launched himself at a cluster of soldiers by using the Force. As he did this, he positioned his double bladed lightsaber in a way to knock some down, and behead a few others. Shado had no choice but to fight this way, for he knew they wouldn't listen to reason no matter how hard he tried. T-3PO begin firing blaster bolts at the enemies. Some shots were successful and killed a few Sith, but most were not. Shado landed and finished off the soldiers he knocked over. Three soldiers surrounded him and began firing at him. He deflected the bolts, causing a few of them to hit the soldiers themselves. The large group of Sith soldiers was now defeated. Shado knew that this was only the beginning though, so he kept his lightsaber ready. -
they decided to rest in the shades of the rock when all of a sudden a ship landed not to far away from them about 20 sith troopers walked out and started shooting at them rick and britany killed half of them by simply deflecting them the fight was easy but then a dark jedi came out and pushed them both back and before theyopend there eyes he was right over them he struck at rick first luckily he blocked it he pushed britany away fearing the dark jedi might attack her next and jumped up he maded an attack to the legs, dodged he realized that he would block every attack so he would have to wait for him to make the mistake he mas getting tired and realized hed die if he didnt do something quick he tried to puuursude him with the force it ditracted him long enough for rick to stab him in the haert
"Thanks for the save," Brittany says as she picks herself up off the sand. She brushes herself off and looks to the ship. "I guess that's our ride."
- Shado and T-3PO fought their way through the ship until they had reached the bridge, where the captain, a handful of the remaining Sith soldiers, and two Dark Jedi were waiting for them. -
=T-3PO=
I have ...
=Shado=
... a bad feeling about this?
=T-3PO=
... Yes! How did you know what I was going to say, Master Shado?
=Shado=
Insticts ... or perhaps I've just been through enough bad situations to know when to have a bad feeling about one ... come on. Whatever you do, and I can't stress this enough, do not shoot at the Dark Jedi!
=T-3PO=
Why not, Master Shado?
=Shado=
Because you'll be eating a blaster bolt sandwich if you do. They'll deflect the bolts back to you. Just let me handle them. You take care of the Sith, okay?
- T-3PO nodded a bit reluctantly, but aimed his blaster rifle at the Sith just the same. Shado activated his lightsaber once more. He used the Force and threw his lightsaber at the two Dark Jedi, but they blocked it. Shado used the Force again, this time bringing his lightsaber back to his hands. Teethree picked off a few soldiers with a sniper shot. He was a bit suprised at the accuracy in which he shot them with. Shado charged at the two Dark Jedi and began to battle them. The remaining two soldiers had swords instead of blasters. This could prove disasterous for T-3PO if he didn't think of something quick. The soldiers charged at him with a battle cry! T-3PO knew it would be hopeless to shoot at them at close range, so he grabbed the other end of his blaster rifle and swung at one of the soldiers, nailing them in the head with it. The soldier simply laughed because it didn't even put a dent in his helmet. The other soldier raised his sword high into the air. As he was about to swing down to finish off the droid, a lightsaber suddenly pierced through his body. The soldier fell to the floor, revealing Shado as his killer. Shado quickly swung to the right killing the other soldier. Shado then returned to battle with the two Dark Jedi. -
=T-3PO=
Get them master! Woo hoo!
-The lightsabers clashed and clashed. This was a very long battle, but it soon ended after Shado used the Force to push one Dark Jedi against a wall. He stepped forward bringing his blade forward as well, running the Jedi through with his blade. Without even looking back, he brought the other end of his lightsaber back, running through the other Jedi. The fight was over. All that remained now, was the captain of the ship. The captain clapped at the Jedi and droid's performance. -
=Sith Captain=
Excellent work. My master will be more than happy to find out how great your skills have improved, Shado Vorn. That is ... if you allow me to live ...
=Shado=
I'll tell you what, I'll let you live if you show me where the escape pods are.
- The captain nodded to his request. He took Shado and T-3PO immediately to the escape pods. Shado then brought the captain to the jail cells. He ordered the captain to enter T-3PO's former cell. The captain did so. The Sith guards were still in the other cell, still shouting insults. Shado once again ignored them. He and Teethree made their way to the escape pods. He set a course, hoping he would land where Rick and Brittany had landed earlier. He entered one escape pod, Teethree entered the other. The escape pods launched. -
rick was cheking al the bodies for any thing useful he herd somthing he looked up and saw two escape pods that looked like they were heading right for them they actually they landed half a mile a away from them rick and brittany quickly flew to them to find a robot and ofcourse shado
=Shado=
Fancy meeting you here.
-Shado let out a small grin but it appeared as if he was trying to hold it back. Rick helped T-3PO out of his escape pod. Shado reached out for Brittany's hand, she grabbed his and pulled him out of the pod in a very rough manner, causing Shado to land face first in the sando. Shado quickly hopped to his feet and whiped off the sand from his face. He pretended he didn't realize Brittany was angry, but the expression on her face was a little too obvious. -
=Shado=
What did I do?
- Shado couldn't help but laugh a little. Brittany's expression didn't change. Shado decided it wasn't a good idea to piss her off any further. His laughing ceased accordingly. -
=Brittany=
Do you think this is one big joke? You could have died up there you ... you ... you jerk!
=Shado=
Jerk? Come on .. Brittany ... that's a bit harsh. I'm good at getting myself out of jams, I figured I would be alright. Besides, I .. I wasn't about to let you or Rick die. There was no choice!
=Brittany=
Don't speak to me, Shado. You are officially on my bad side.
=Shado=
Oh come on, Brittany! Everyone's fine, nobody's hurt, and we made a new friend out of it! Rick, Brittany, I'd like you to meet T-3PO, a translation droid. He did quite well helping me against the Sith as well. Say hello, Teethree.
=T-3PO=
Hello, Lady Brittany and Master Rick! I assume, Master Shado, that these companions of yours have traveled with you for quite some time, correct?
- Shado looked slightly confused. -
=Shado=
To be honest, I don't remember ...
=T-3PO=
I ... I'm sorry?
=Rick=
Shado lost his memory .. it's a long story. Hey .. uh ... Brittany, how 'bout you go back to the ship with Teethree and tell him all about it? I need to speak to Shado anyway.
=Brittany=
Yes, I think that would be a great idea, anywhere away from that .. that arrogant jerk would be fine with me! Hmph!
- Brittany quickly walked back to the ship. T-3PO hobbled along after her. Shado leaned up against his escape pod and crossed his arms. Rick stood in front of him. -
=Shado=
I see she's pretty angry with me.
=Rick=
Hmmmmmmm ..... I wonder what gave you that impression? Was it the total look of disgust on her face, or the "arrogant jerk" crack?
=Shado=
Neither. She's not really made because of any of that stuff.
=Rick=
Oh? Then what, oh Master Jedi, is she angry about?
=Shado=
She's mad at me because I can't remember a damn thing about her, and she knows it. I wish I could, but I can't seem to remember much of anything right now ...
=Rick=
I'm a bit hurt myself that you forgot about us, Shado. You're our buddy, well ... I don't know if I can speak for Brittany anymore ... but I am! Hey ... whatever happened to Hero? I miss the lil' guy!
-Shado raised an eyebrow. -
=Shado=
"Hero"?
=Rick=
Well ... yeah .. Hero .. you mean to tell me you don't remember Hero either?
-Shado stared at Rick with a blank expression on his face. -
=Rick=
Yikes. It's worse than I thought ... you've got a bad case of amnesia, my friend. I hope Hero's okay, wherever he may be. Do you remember anything before the ship, Shado?
- Shado looked at the ground as he was trying to remember. -
=Shado=
I .. the only thing I remember was waking up in the ship with the knowledge that I had to protect everyone on it. When I first met up with you, I didn't recognize you, and I still don't have any past memories of you ... I'm sorry.
=Rick=
How come you were able to recognize Brittany and not me?
=Shado=
I ... I don't know. The only thing about her, is that I remember her face ... her eyes .. her ... lips ...
- This time Rick did the eyebrow raising. -
=Rick=
Erm ... uh ... save the mooshy stuff, Romeo. Well, anyhow, I could tell that Brittany was really upset about this whole thing. But don't worry, she'll be okay in time.
=Shado=
Time ....
=Rick=
Yeah ... what about it?
=Shado=
I have nothing but time on my hands now. I don't remember anything. This ... this sucks. Bad. I hope I remember things soon, I don't want to be a burden on you gu...
- Before Shado could finish, T-3PO, had unnoticingly made his way to them to deliver a message. -
=T-3PO=
Excuse the interruption, but Lady Brittany would like to speak with you, Master Shado. Alone.
- Shado looked up at Rick, Rick nodded for him to go. -
=Rick=
Go ahead, Shado. Me and Teethree will chat a little bit. We'll be fine ... as for you, I don't know if I can say the same ...
- Rick let out a small laugh but quickly ended it when he noticed that Shado wasn't laughing. Teethree didn't understand the situation, but figured he should laugh out of politeness and proper edicate ... he was a wierd droid. -
=Rick=
Ahem .. so ... Teethree .. what planet were you er ..... made on?
-Teethree and Rick began a conversation. As this happened, Shado made his way to the ship. He boarded the ship to find Brittany looking at an old picture. -
"Do you remember this?" Brittany asked, throwing the picture to him. He stared at it blankly.
"You and me?" he asked. She shook her head.
"You and my twin sister, Marli," she said. "You were in love with her once. Then she betrayed you. She tried to kill you and in return, you killed her, but she didn't die. She's dead now, once again thanks to you."
Brittany turned away to look out the window while Shado stared at the picture. Brittany turned to face him again.
"The Sith did something to you, Shado," she said. "This was once your ship. When I first saw it landing on this planet, I thought you might have come to get us, that you had remembered everything. Sith soldiers told me I was wrong."
She turned to walk away, but on second thought stayed where she was and gave out a call. Hero came scampering to her. She picked him up and turned back to Shado.
"Do you remember him?" she asked. "He saved your life from Cassus Fett. Fett is dead now, thanks to Rick. Rick saved your life as well."
She turned away again, still holding Hero. Then she turned and Hero jumped from her arms to run to Shado.
"At least try to remember," Brittany said quietly. Then she left him to think about everything. Shado stared at the Gizka at his feet. Hero was begging to be picked up...
- Shado looked at Hero then at Brittany as she walked away. "I've been trying to remember ever since I woke up." he thought to himself. Hero was cooing a bit louder this time, as if a little worried that Shado was not paying attention to him. Shado looked back down to Hero. -
=Shado=
I'm sorry ... I don't know you either.
-Shado walked away and Hero cooed a saddened sounding cry. Shado ignored it as he searched around on his ship. He finally found what he was looking for : a landspeeder. Shado wrote a quick note on a datapad, explaining that he was leaving. He appologized in the note for any trouble he had caused them. It also said that he was leaving to forget his past, and to try and make a new start. Shado tossed the datapad on a table on the ship. He opened up a docking bay door and pushed the landspeeder out onto the sand. He hopped in the speeder, took one last look at his friends, then drove away.-
=Rick=
Hey ... is ... Shado!
=T-3P0=
Oh dear!
=Brittany=
That's the ship's only landspeeder. He's leaving us.
=Rick=
We have to stop him!
=Brittany=
We can't.
=Rick=
We have to try damnit! Don't you care about him anymore?
=Brittany=
More than you know, Rick. But he's gone now, and there's nothing we can do about it.
- Brittany looked down a bit saddened, but also trying to hide the fact. -
=Rick=
I'm going to the ship.
=Brittany=
For what?
=Rick=
Maybe he left a clue as to where he's going.
=Brittany=
Not likely ...
- Rick ignored the comment and headed to the ship. Brittany and T-3PO followed. Meanwhile, Shado made his way to a cantina on this unknown planet. He exited his landspeeder. He placed the hood of his cloak over his head, as to not draw unwanted attention ... like it would matter anyway. He decided to have a quick drink before he started his "new life". He entered the cantina. This particular cantina was a calm and quiet one. Shado found a seat towards the back of the cantina, in a darkly lit area. As he sat down, a holotender popped up in the middle of the table asking him for his order. "Something hard." was his reply. Shado payed his credits into the slot next to his seat. The holotender thanked him and then dissapeared. After a brief moment, a slot opened up in the wall next to his table, with a drink prepared and waiting for him. He grabbed it and the slot closed afterward. He took a drink and began thinking to himself. -
=Shado=
Seems that all I can do is hurt people. How I killed someone I loved .. I'll never understand. Why would someone want to kill me? My friends I guess have saved my butt more than once, but by the way it sounds, I haven't saved theirs at all. Some friend I am. No ... no more dwelling on this. As soon as I get off this rock, I'm starting a new life. I'll just forget the past ... as if I can remember any of it anyway. I think this is for the better ...
- As Shado was busy in thought, A shady person draped in dark robes and a dark hood sat down at his table right across from him. Startled, Shado gripped his lightsaber, but waited to see what this person would do first. -
=?=
No need to use your lightsaber, Shado Vorn. I'm a friend.
=Shado=
How did you know my name?
=?=
I was hoping I'd cought up with you before those Jedi friends of yours brainwashed you completely.
=Shado=
Brainwashed? What are you talking about?
=?=
This is no place to talk about these matters, Shado. Join me on my ship. We'll get you out of here and where you truly belong. Will you join me?
- Shado paused. He didn't trust this person, and with good reason. But what this person had to say, and the fact that this person knew his name, caught his interest. Shado released his grip on his lightsaber. He stood up. -
=Shado=
I will. But try something funny, and it will be the last mistake you make.
- The shady figure stood up as well and nodded. -
=?=
Fair enough. Let's go. My master is dying to meet you, Shado Vorn. I think you'll be very interested in what he has to say. My name is Darth Hadeous. I am a Sith Lord. The only reason I'm telling you this, is because I want you to trust me. The Sith are not the enemy, Shado. If you come with me and at least give us the chance to explain, I'm sure that you will agree. You may find out some things about your past that those Jedi did not tell you as well ... what say you?
- Darth Hadeous put out his hand for Shado to shake it. Shado felt a rush of different emotions run through him. He also felt like he had less answers to the questions he wanted answered. He was a bit reluctant, but shook Hadeous's hand nevertheless. The two left the cantina and head for Hadeous's ship. As a Sith Soldier noticed the two approaching, he reported to Lord Zera via a comlink. -
=Sith soldier=
He accepted, my lord, and is on his way to the ship as I speak.
=Lord Zera=
Very good.
- Zera ended the conversation. A long moment passed as Zera was deep in thought on his dark throne. A devilish grin came across his face. -
=Lord Zera=
And so it begins ....
- A dark laugh was heard throughout the halls of his ship. This didn't look good. Not one bit. -
Brittany was sitting outside the ship and staring into the sky. A ship flew over and her eyes narrowed at it.
"Sith," she muttered. She ran in to the ship where Rick was now looking at the note. He held it up for her to see, but she brushed past him and closed the ramp.
"We're going after a Sith ship," she said as the ship lifted off the ground.
- The Sith ship was already in orbit, and Brittany wasn't about to let it slip away. She had a bad feeling about who was on the ship ... she feared that she would be correct in her assumptions, but had to follow it nonetheless. Rick walked behind her and stood, looking out the window at the ship ahead of them. T-3PO was busy sitting in a corner. Hero was sitting on his lap. T-3PO pet the small creature. It was kinf of a cute site to see, except that Rick and Brittany were too occupied at the moment to notice. Rick finally spoke up to Brittany, who seemed obsessed with the Sith's ship. -
=Rick=
Why are we following this ship? I know the Sith are the enemy and all, but we should be back on that planet looking for Shado. We can't just let him leave damnit!
- Brittany ignored him. She was disturbingly obsessed with catching up to the ship. -
=Rick=
LISTEN! I don't appreciate being ignored, Brittany! Shado's our friend, at least he's my friend! With the way you've been acting lately, I don't know if I can say the same for you. Please, tell me what's going on in that head of yours!
- Brittany let out a small sigh. She kept her eyes on the ship ahead of her, but responded to Rick finally. -
=Brittany=
I have a bad feeling about who may be on that ship, and that's all I'm going to say.
- Rick paused for a moment, trying not to believe what he had just heard. He folded his arms and stared at the ship. -
=Rick=
I don't think so. And if Shado is on that ship, then ... then ...
=Brittany=
Then what?
=Rick=
I ... I don't know. I just hope that he isn't. I really hope that he isn't, at least not willingly.
- Brittany felt a bit sympathetic for Rick. She realized finally, what this was doing to him. Rick and Shado were good friends. Brittany hadn't exactly been acting kind toward Shado, and she wasn't acting very friendly to Rick as of late. She turned and faced Rick for a brief moment, raising her arm and patting Rick on the shoulder. -
=Brittany=
Look, I ... I care about Shado, and I don't want anything bad to happen, but I must be honest. I have a bad feeling that Shado is not only on that ship, but that he is on that ship willingly.
- Brittany turned back to the ship. Rick raised an eyebrow in confusion, his posture not at all changing. -
=Rick=
Willingly? Shado would never do that.
=Brittany=
The Shado we used to know wouldn't, but Shado's not the same anymore. He doesn't remember anything about his past, and he's too damn persistent. He'd even willingly board a Sith ship if it meant he could get some answers. I didn't have the heart to tell him what happened on Korriban five years ago ... if given the chance now, I still don't know if I could.
- Rick put one of arms down at his side. He put the other out toward the ship with his hand open, showing concern through his body language. -
=Rick=
You mean to tell me that you didn't tell him probably the most important detail that was his right to know? This whole situation may have been avoided if you had done that ... maybe he would even have remembered it ...
=Brittany=
I ... I know. I just couldn't bring myself to tell him. I just couldn't.
- Rick became a bit sympathetic to Brittany, it wasn't her fault that all this was happening, and he knew it. Hell, it wasn't even Shado's fault. It was the Sith's fault. As it always is. -
=Rick=
You do know that if Shado is on that ship, that whoever's in charge of the Sith is going to spread lies into his head, maybe even turning him to the Dark Side, and against us ... right?
- Brittany felt a tear run down her cheek. She became silent for a moment, but then continued her conversation with Rick. -
=Brittany=
Please, Rick. If you don't mind, I really don't want to talk about this right now.
=Rick=
You're right. I'm sorry, Brittany. Maybe Shado isn't even on that ship. Or if he is, maybe it's not by his choice. Everything will be okay. You'll see.
- Rick walked over to a seat by T-3PO. Hero hopped from T-3's lap right on to his. Rick pet Hero, but his concentration was on that ship. He knew that his words were made of false hope, and he knew that Brittany knew it as well. He only hoped that Shado could be saved ... perhaps even from himself if that is what it had come to ... -
i guess we have nothing better to do he said he was sad he was shy and these to people were th only friends he had and now that one didnt even know who he was well he was just sad he wanted to talk about it but he didnt like talking he just sat there wondering about shadoow
ooc
uhh hey shado we were righting at the same time and i think you presed the buttonfirst so my last reply dosnt exist uhh thats it
=OOC=
OOC means out of character. You use it when you want to say something but not make it a part of the story.
- Meanwhile, Shado walked about the ship. He felt odd, because some Sith soldiers were actually praising him, which was odd, because they were the enemy. He felt they should be cursing him, actually, a few of them were, some held their blaster rifles a bit tighter as he walked by, some noteably patted their blasters, as if warning him not to try anything funny from a distance. What disturbed him, was that there were actually soldiers who were waving to him, and giving him "thumbs up" and such. Darth Hadeous had comfiscated Shado's lightsaber a bit earlier, which was understandable, seeing as how Shado wasn't exactly a friend to the Sith. But in the back of Shado's mind, if something did happen to go wrong, he at least had the Force as his weapon. Hadeous and Shado stopped at a room with a round table and two chairs, one across from the other. The room was fairly plain looking, aside from some Sith guards at each door, and a couple of windows to look out of. Hadeous motioned for Shado to sit down, he did so. Hadeous moved across from him and sat as well. The two stared at eachother for what seemed like a lifetime, when Hadeous finally spoke up. -
=Darth Hadeous=
Shado Vorn! Infamous bounty hunter turned Jedi of ... the Light.
=Shado=
I was a bounty hunter?
=Darth Hadeous=
You certainly were! You've been given quite the reputation because of it. It has been said that you never accepted a mission without being payed up front, but always were granted payment first, because of the confidence your employers had in you to get the job done, which you always did. Quite spectacular of you, might I add.
- Shado flicked his eyes at two Sith guards, then back to Hadeous. -
=Shado=
So ... I was a bounty hunter. Why and how did I go from being an "infamous" bounty hunter to becoming a Jedi?
- Hadeous stayed quiet for a moment, studying Shado. He then spoke a reply. -
=Darth Hadeous=
Why you became a Jedi is not the question you should be asking, Shado Vorn. Why you became a Jedi of the Light, is one you should.
- Shado looked Hadeous dead in the eyes. Hadeous looked very serious in his question. Shado didn't know what to make of it all though. -
=Shado=
Maybe I joined so that I could use my skill as a Jedi, to better my skills as a bounty hunter?
- A grin came over Hadeous's pale face. -
=Darth Hadeous=
That would make sense, wouldn't it? But that is not the answer.
=Shado=
Then what is?
- Hadeous's grin grew wider. -
=Darth Hadeous=
It is not my place to tell you, Shado. That is for my master to say. I will tell you what I can of your past, that my master has told me.
=Shado=
Why is the Sith so willing to be my friend all in the sudden? Why are you going to tell me about my past, and how do I know you'd be telling me the truth for that matter?
- Hadeous's grin went away completely. -
=Darth Hadeous=
To the first question, the Sith want you, Shado. We know of your power, and we also know how your "friends" and boring Light side Jedi have blinded you. It's time we showed you what they don't want you to know. It is time we helped you see again. To the next two questions, I can only tell you what I have been told of your past, and you don't know that we'd be telling you the truth. Nor should you trust us as we tell it to you. You have opened yourself up to your so called "friends", and all you got in return was lied to. They are not your friends, Shado. We are. We will not hide anything of your past to you, when you speak to my master, you will learn everything down to its deepest, darkest, detail.
=Shado=
Why would my friends lie to me?
=Darth Hadeous=
Because they have more to gain by having you fight for the Light side with a blindfold on. As I have said already, you are greatly skilled. You have the skills of an elite bounty hunter, combine that with the training of a Jedi, and you have a lethal combination. Your companions fear you, Shado. As do we, to be honest. Your power should be used for personal gain, not to help out those who would only give you a pat on the back for risking your life for them.
=Shado=
I ... I don't know ...
=Darth Hadeous=
I am not rushing you into any decisions, Shado Vorn. We will arrive to see my master soon enough. He will tell you all that he knows, which is alot might I add, and will ask you to join us. We are not the "evil" that you have been brainwashed to believe. You will thrive with us, Shado. You will evolve. You will know true power, and it will all be YOURS.
- With that said, Hadeous left Shado alone in the room, to ponder what had just been told to him. He even took the guards with him, as if gesturing an act of good faith on the Sith's part. Hadeous returned to the bridge of the ship, and stared out of a window of the ship. A beep came from his comlink. It was Lord Zera. Hadeous opened it up and answered his master. -
=Lord Zera=
How goes things with our young Jedi/Bounty Hunter?
=Darth Hadeous=
He is at least willing to hear what you have to tell him, my lord.
=Lord Zera=
Excellent. He will no longer be a pawn of the Light side of the Force. No. He will serve me, as you serve me. He will be transformed into a great Dark Jedi, and you will train him!
=Darth Hadeous=
Me, Lord Zera?
=Lord Zera=
Yes, you. And you will be rewarded for the deed of not only luring him to my grasp, but training him as well.
=Darth Hadeous=
Thank you, my lord.
=Lord Zera=
Do not thank me yet, Hadeous, for he is not yet one of us. He will be a great aid to us in future matters.
=Darth Hadeous=
Forgive me, my lord, but what if he fails to believe what you tell him? For that matter, what if he is too far in the Light to be turned against his friends?
=Lord Zera=
The Jedi of the Light like to say that no fallen Jedi is a forever lost one, well, the same is said in reverse. He will be ours, Darth Hadeous. If all else fails, I have an ace up my sleeve.
=Darth Hadeous=
That being?
=Lord Zera=
In due time, apprentice. In due time.
=Darth Hadeous=
Yes, my lord.
- The conversation ended, and Darth Hadeous turned off his comlink. After a moment longer of looking out the window at the stars before him, Hadeous was interupted by the captain of the ship. -
=Captain=
My lord, we are being followed by a ship. Shall I get everyone into battle positions?
=Darth Hadeous=
Leave them be, captain. They are no threat to us just yet. It is Shado's companions. They will wait for us to land, so they know our base location. I have a suprise waiting for them, and it won't be what they are expecting either. Leave them be ... for now.
- With that said, the captain bowed his head to Darth Hadeous. Hadeous returned to his window. A dark smile appeared across his face. As he looked at the stars, he pondered current events and what would come to be ... -
The Sith ship dropped out of hyperspace and Brittany guided Shado's ship carefully behind it, trying to remain undetected. The ship landed on a nearby planet, but Brittany hesitated.
"I have a bad feeling about this," she said quietly. She turned to Rick. "I don't think we should land just yet. We're still tracking them, right?"
Rick nodded in response. "Good. We'll wait a bit until the coast is clear, and we'll land in a safe place." Brittany said with the sound of hope in her voice. She would not give up on Shado, nor would Rick. Meanwhile, the Sith's ship had landed. Within the ship, soldiers and crew alike were exiting from it. Darth Hadeous and Shado were the last members inside it. They walked together halfway down the ramp to the docking bay, when Darth Hadeous turned and faced him. "Shado, I noticed your robes are quite torn and tattered. Not very becoming of one such as yourself. There are some spare robes, that are brand new within our base. I would like you to take one and keep it, as a small gift from me. Shado was reluctant, but decided it wasn't a good idea to insult his current host, especially in his own element. He nodded in agreement. "Oh yes, one more thing. My servents will have made a room for you to stay, within the room will be your new robes, and a very special lightsaber that is also now : yours. The lightsaber is a gift from my master, should you choose to accept it." Shado didn't know what to say, so he nodded once again. He wanted to think some negative thoughts of the Sith's odd kindness towards him, but decided it would be wiser to keep his mind clear of any thought whatsoever. Shado and Hadeous continued on to the base.
They finally arrived at the doors of the base, which were guarded by two Sith soldiers, as well as two Jedi. Each Sith remained frozen in guard positions, as their training had tought them to. Hadeous and Shado entered the base. Shado couldn't believe how long the hallways extended, and how many rooms there were. There were beautiful female servants walking all around the inside of the base, attending to other guests. Hadeous finally brought Shado to his room. "And here, my friend, is where you will stay until called to by my master. If you need anything at all, just call up one of the servants. They will be more than happy to help you with anything that is needed." With that said, Darth Hadeous made his way to his master's meditation/throne room. Shado entered his room and stared in awe at how extravagant it looked. He had never been in such a classy room as this was. He walked over to his bed and there sat his new robes, and lightsaber. In a way, it was kind of exciting to him. He had not forgotten his purpose for being there however, and decided not to let his guard down. He took his robes and went into the dressing room to change into them. He also took his lightsaber, which probably wasn't a bad idea.
Night fell over the planet. Brittany, Rick, Hero, and T-3PO stared out of the window at the head of Shado's ship. "If we're going to land, now would be the best time." Rick said with a hint of warning in his voice. "Right." replied Brittany. After a moment, the Widowmaker had landed in a safe and secret opening of rocks near, but not too near the base. "Let's go. T-3, stay on board, keep Hero with you as well. If something goes wrong, we'll need your help." Rick said to the droid. T-3PO nodded, with an expression that looked clearly worried about the whole situation. Rick and Brittany then exited the ship, lightsabers in their hands, just in case.
Meanwhile, Shado finished dressing into his new robes. He gazed at his new apparel in the mirror of his dressing room. What he saw, bothered him a little. "Black robes, the sign of a Dark Jedi ..." he thought to himself. "Well, right now, they're just clothes ... clothes that fit surprisingly well ... it's almost a little disturbing .." Shado shrugged the thought out of his mind as he returned to his bedroom. He returned to find a female servant, waiting for him, and sitting on the bed. "Master, Vorn, I pressume! It's about time you showed up!" the servant said with a fake smile. "What are you doing in here ... how did you get in? The door was locked ..." he said with a cautious look on his face. His hand quietly slipped near his lightsaber just in case. "I have a key. I was given specific instructions to attend to you in anything .... anything at all you may need, Master Vorn." she said seductively. "Well, I'm just fine, so you can go." Shado said, with a bit of offense heard in his voice. "Go?" she asked, as if a little startled by the request. "Yes, you may go. Thank you for your concern." Shado said as he sat in a chair and began putting on his new boots that went with his robes. "You ... you mean you do not need my assistance? Please let me, Master Vorn, if I do not, I will be punished!" she said worringly. Shado looked up at her after he finished putting his boots on. "Punished? Why? You have done nothing wrong." he said as he stood up. "I was given specific instructions to .." " I know, I know." Shado interrupted. "I don't need anything, and I wouldn't ask you to do anything like that anyway. Do not worry, I will say nothing to your master. Now go." "Y ... yes, Master Vorn. I will be just down the hall if you need anything at all, okay?" she said with a real smile this time. "Fine. Thank you." he said. "Thank you, kind sir." she said. The servant girl left the room and locked the door behind her. Shado sat on his bed. He felt a bit tired, as usual, it had been a long day. He decided he would rest until called upon. He didn't exactlly feel safe in this place, but figured that if the Sith wanted him dead right away, they would have killed him as soon as he entered their ship. He layed down on his bed, shut his eyes, and quickly fell asleep.
rick saw a sith patrol and decided to take him out silentlyhe through a rock and waited forthe sith to come as soon as he saw him he elbowed him on the head knocking him out he took off his comlink and put him in a locked room of the widdowmaker
As Shado slept, he had a dream. The dream was more or less like small glimpses given by the Force. He could see himself, Brittany, Rick, Hero, and an older looking Jedi who he did not recognize. The glimpse showed them landing on the planet Korriban. Shado suddenly woke up, when he heard a noise. He leaned up a bit to investigate the sound. It was just some birds singing. Shado shook his head and let out a tiny laugh. He scooted himself back down onto his bed, and returned to his sleep. After a few moments of seeing nothing, a new glimpse came to him.
This time, it was of Brittany and the elder Jedi. It appeared that the Jedi and Brittany were arguing, and Shado was trying to stop them. This glimpse left him, and soon another one had shown through. This time, it was of Shado and the elder Jedi alone. The Jedi was training Shado in the ways of the Force. It seemed that Shado and the elder got along quite well. After a brief moment, that vision also had vanished.
Shado had one final vision. This vision was a special one. He and Brittany were alone in a room. Shado was yelling at Brittany, and both of them were in tears. Brittany was sitting down, her face burried in her hands as she cried. Shado walked over to the elder Jedi, that was lying on the ground. He was dead. Shado leaned down and held the man in his arms. A quick flash showed Rick Ulo enter the room, with the hilt of his lightsaber in his hand. He snuck up behind Shado and nailed him hard in the back of the head with it. Brittany fell to Shado's side, but Rick pulled her away from him. He said something that Shado could not make out, Brittany nodded her head, and the two left the room.
The vision had ended, and caused Shado to leap up in his bed, awoken in a cold sweat. Conveniently, in fact, oddly conveniently, Darth Hadeous arrived at Shado's room, and from the outside, knocked on his door. "Shado? Are you alright in there?" he said. Shado took a moment to gather his thoughts. He rose from his bed. "I ... I'm fine." Shado opened the door. "The Emporer would is ready to see you now." Hadeous said with a slight smile. The Sith were being just a little too nice to Shado. He didn't trust it or them one bit. Nevertheless, he followed Hadeous as he lead him down the long hallways to meet his master.
Hadeous and Shado traveled the halls until they finally reached a huge doorway with two doors covering the entryway. "Hold here for a moment, Shado. I must alert my master that you are here." said Hadeous. Shado nodded his head. Hadeous had the two guards open the doors they were guarding. The doors were so big that it took a few heartbeats before they were opened. Hadeous entered and closed the doors behind him. Shado stood outside the doors as the two guards stared at him. Shado was a little annoyed by it and decided to stare right back at them. Eventually, the doors re-opened and Hadeous exited the room. Standing before Shado, he gestured for him to enter. Shado took cautious steps as he entered the room.
The doors slammed behind him. The room was huge, like a large empty warehouse with nothing in it but a throne. The entire room was pitch black except a single light that covered Zera's throne. Zera sat there, his hood covering most of his face, to where onlly his lips and chin were visible. His hands clutches the armchairs of his throne. Shado stared at Zera but said nothing. Zera finally broke the ice. "Shado Vorn. It is about time that we met, for today is the day that you will not only get the answers you seek, but it is also the day that your eyes shall be opened." "I can see just fine, Zera." Shado retorted.
"Oh? Well then, perhaps I can help you to see better than you can now." With that said, the lights in the room turned on. It revealed four assassins meant to guard Zera. Shado couldn't see them at all in the darkness. These guards of Zera's were draped in a black armor. They each had lightsaber staffs. They also wore helmets. "They were draped in stealth." Shado said, the understanding apparent in his voice. "Very good, Vorn. Very good." Zera said with a grin. Zera snapped his fingers, and the guards left the room without hesitation. "They are trained well to follow my orders. They are the best of the best, and I have ordered them to leave, with just me and you in the room now." Zera said. "That's nice. Look, I don't have time for this, so if you don't mind, can you get to the point of this meeting, please?" Shado interupted.
"Not very patient, are you? Don't answer. That can be a good thing sometimes, but it must be something that you work on controlling in the future. Anyhow, you didn't come here to listen to me babble. You want information of your past, but I can go two better than that. I can give you information of your past, your present, and an offer for your future ..." Zera said. "As for your offer, save it until I have my information. I want to judge whether or not your information is valid or not, and I assure you, I'm very good at judging when it comes to liars ..." Shado replied with a deadly gaze.
"Very well. Shado Vorn. We are agreed, then. First, ask me what you would like to know." Zera could feel Shado's gaze upon him. He realized it was no longer smart in taking up his time without making it useful to him. "What do you know of my past, and why do you know it in the first place?" Shado asked, his gaze still piercing ...
Brittany left the ship silently, making her way through the dense woods. Then, reacting on sudden instinct, she ignited both lightsabers and sliced through a tree nearby. The tree fell on an unsuspecting Sith trooper. His companion tried to run, but lost his head quickly.
Brittany hung her lightsabers from her belt and continued.
"You were less a bounty hunter, and more of a Republic lapdog." Zera returned Shado's gaze, with a small grin. "So now you insult me?" Shado said, his gaze not at all changed. "I didn't say a willing Republic lapdog. No ... that would have been an insult. Even as a bounty hunter, you did not know you were working for the Republic. They gave your Hutt employer information on people they wanted dead. Everyone that you killed, were either Sith spies, soldiers, or ship crewmen. The Republic never told you. The Hutt never told you." Zera's eyes grew wide, as if waiting to tell him more. "Okay, so why didn't they tell me?" asked Shado. "They had their killing machine, their killing machine had no knowledge that he worked for them, and, the people he killed were enemies of the Republic. If they sent one of their own, they would have never gotten the jobs done that you pulled off. You are gifted." Zera grinned. "Okay, the Republic used me. I get it. So what else happened?" Shado asked, his gaze lightening up a bit. "Marli. Sister of Brittany." Zera paused for a moment, holding in a silent laugh. "Marli loved you deeply. Brittany did not, and never will."
"Brittany had a sister? I knew her sister?" He asked. "Oh you knew her alright." The dark lord chuckled. "She was going to marry you!" Shado's expression was full of curiousity, and also fear. Fear for what he may be told next. "So what stopped her .. and where is she now?" he asked. "She's dead. You killed her." Zera said coldly. "It isn't your fault though, you had no idea." Shado didn't know what to say. He stood in silence. He folded his arms and awaited further information from Zera. "While you were a bounty hunter, you fell in love with one of your targets. Marli. Marli was deeply in love with you, but she was a spy for me. For the Sith. Eventually, things got complicated. You were close to finding out who she really was. I had to intervene. I spoke to your Hutt employer. I convinced him to work for the Sith instead of the Republic. It wasn't hard to do. I recieved information of you, and your work with the Republic. You were a threat to me, and I tried to have you killed because of it. I ordered the Hutt to put a bounty on your head, with quite a large sum of credits." As Zera spoke, the sound of regret almost appeared in his voice.
"You tried to have me killed?" his eyebrow raised as he asked. "I did. You were a threat to me and the Sith. You were the best known bounty hunter in the galaxy. I couldn't allow you to live at the time, but fate intervened. You eventually found the truth about Marli. You were going to discuss it with her ... when you came to your hideout, only to find Brittany, Marli's twin sister." Zera's face was expressionless now. His eyes told it all though ... he wasn't lying, and Shado could sense it. "Before I go any further with this, I want to give you my offer now. You don't have to respond to it right away, but consider it, at least." Shado nodded his head at Zera's request. "Good. I have so much more to tell you, but I don't know how much time I have left before your so called "friends" arrive at the base. And before you ask, yes, they are on this planet, trying to get here at this very moment." Zera said. Shado just stared. On the outside, Shado was like a stone statue. He made no movements, and no expressions of his feelings. He was silent. On the inside, he had many thoughts and emotions running through his mind.
"I offer you true power, Shado Vorn. Join the dark side. Join the Sith! Join me. Become my apprentice, learn the ways of the Sith, and you will have ultimate power, that will not be held back. You will be praised by all, all shall fear your power, and you'll get more than a pat on the back for a job well done." Zera said. "You already have an apprentice. I'm sure he wouldn't feel very happy if I took his job." Replied Shado. "That is not up to him. Anyway, you have heard my offer. Consider it." Zera said. "Fair enough. I want the rest of the story now." said Shado. "Very well. Marli was captured by the Jedi Order about a week before you tried to meet with her to find out the truth. Brittany, her twin, was alerted of this. The Order questioned her. They didn't get very much from her, as the Sith are not weak like they are. Brittany was given a mission by the order. To pretend to be Marli. She would take her place and further the lie that you were living. Things got complicated. Marli did in fact love you, where as Brittany, loathed you. Brittany is a very head strong person. She found out about my hiring of your Hutt employer. She didn't know about your bounty, though. She figured that I would use you as the Republic did. She figured your new targets would be Republic members, and Jedi alike. She decided that she had to kill you to prevent that. Her mistake."
Shado was going to say something, but couldn't find the words. Zera continued on. "When you met with her at your hideout, she had a blaster ready. She grabbed it and was going to shoot, but you were just too fast for her. She fell. You thought her dead. You were wrong. You left the hideout and the planet, to gather your thoughts. Brittany had fellow Jedi waiting for her on the planet, with a ship ready. They were supposed to capture you and bring you to the Jedi Order. They failed. Brittany was lucky enough to call the Jedi to her rescue. They patched her up. She lived. The rest will be told by her and your friend Rick. I'll be interested to hear their lies to you." Zera said, his teeth exposed with the evil grin that came across his face.
Shado paced back and forth in the room, as he waited for Brittany and Rick to arrive. He wouldn't have much longer to wait, because they were almost there!
Brittany pushed through a dense row of bushes and found herself in a clearing. She quickly retreated back into the bushes when she saw the building in the clearing. She glanced around and stepped forward cautiously toward the building.
rick followed her into the building they were greeted by some and 2 dark jedi one of the jedi said that lord zera was waiting for them
Lord Zera sensed the presence of Rick and Brittany as soon as they had arrived. "Ah, I believe your friends have finally arrived, Shado." he said almost quietly. He watched as Shado continued to pace back and forth. "Is everything alright, Shado?" he asked.
Shado ceased his pacing and turned to face Zera. "I guess I'll find that out in a few moments, won't I?" he said with a small hint of sarcasm in his voice. Before Zera could say anything to Shado, the doors to his throne room slowly swung open. Rick and Brittany entered the room, escorted by the two Dark Jedi.
"Your guests have arrived, my lord." said one Jedi. "Excellent." said Zera. Shado turned to Rick and Brittany. They stood directly across from him. The feeling between the three of them was like strangers looking at strangers. Shado folded his arms and stood perfectly still. His face was cold, like nothing Rick or Brittany had ever seen in him.
"I'm ready to hear what you two have to say about my past." Shado said in a cold and quiet tone. Zera intervened momentarilly. "I've told him the truth about you, Brittany. The truth which you denied him, even before he lost his memory. Why don't you explain to him why you lied to him, and why you never told him that you were the one who attempted to kill him, not Marli. You ruined his life, and you ruined your twin sister's life as well. Explain why." Zera said coldly. "And Rick, why don't you try explaining to Shado why you killed his master, and then attacked him from behind, while he was holding his dead master in his arms? I'll save the best for last, something that only I can explain myself : Shado's memory loss. But I am sure that Shado would really like to hear your sides of the story ..."
Brittany was speechless. What had the Sith been telling Shado?!? Certainly not the truth. She hadn't tried to kill him and she knew it well. It had been Marli.
"Shado, don't listen to him," Brittany whispered, her face showing that she felt hurt by his coldness. "It was Marli who tried to kill you. She managed to survive, although none of my family or I knew how. She trained to become a Sith and overpowered her master as you watched on Korriban. Then she turned on you and tried to kill you again.
"Rick and I got there as she was just about to kill you and prevented it. She came to attack me and I fought my best. She was knocked over and I tried to kill her, but only got her leg. She pushed me back into the wall and I lost consciousness.
"Later you told me that the two of you had fought on a catwalk above the ocean. She lunged for you, in the process losing her lightsaber. She lunged for it, trying to save it from falling off the catwalk, but she went too far and barely managed to grab the edge of the catwalk before she fell. She called you a coward as you walked away. You told her that she was already dead. She had even said so. Then, she lost her grip and fell into the water, thousands of feet below."
Her gaze became hard. "Search my mind, Shado, and know I am telling the truth."
Shado stood silently, obviously gazing into her mind. Zera watched on in silence, as did Rick. Shado stood silent before her. His facial expression telling her one thing, but his eyes ... his eyes were always showing her the truth. "I looked into your mind, Brittany. It's a shame that you would lie to me to my face. Lucky for me, I don't really give a damn at this point." Shado said, his voice as cold as ice, as was his gaze upon her.
"Wha ... WHAT? I can't believe you..." before she could finish, Zera interupted. "Allow him to know the truth, Brittany. You have proven to him your true intent, you don't care about him, why hide it any further?" Zera's evil eyes turned to Rick this time. "And you, will you lie to Shado as well?" he asked. "Shutup, Zera. Let him speak. Are you going to lie to me too, Rick?" asked Shado. Rick froze for a moment. If Brittany couldn't convince him of the truth, could he?
Brittany could feel her eyes filling with tears. She refused to believe that Shado would just fall to the dark side like this. What she had said to Shado, was in fact the truth. How he could not see it in her mind was beyond her comprehension. Maybe he didn't want to see the truth .. or maybe ... a sudden understanding of what was going on occured in Brittany's head. A feeling of relief seemed to come over her.
Rick, on the other hand, was sweating blaster bolts. Shado's dark gaze stayed focussed souly upon Rick. Shado waited for Rick to respond.
rick was just standing there he did not know what to say but he decided he would tell the trouthto shadow whether he belived it or not " the sith infiltrated your ship while you we were on korriban they killed your master and captured you you managed to escape but they took your memory away somehow the counsil deciced to put you on the ship" rick was realizing that he was crying because that was one of the two friends he ever had
(OOC) - Good one, Rick. :)
Shado shook his head slightly, as if dissapointed by Rick's truthful response. His dark gaze returned to Rick. "It doesn't add up. If the Sith killed my master, then why did I have a vision given by the Force, showing you knocking me out from behind, while holding my master in my arms?"
Rick didn't know what to say at that point, because the "vision" that Shado had seen, never happened, or at least Rick knew it wasn't him who did the act to Shado. "I ... I don't know! I didn't do that to you, Shado! You MUST believe me!" he said, the sincerity apparent in his voice.
"I'll tell you exactly why you don't know." Shado said with a sparkle in his eyes. Before he spoke further, he palmed the lightsaber hilt attatched to his belt. "Because it never happened." With that said, Shado pulled his lightsaber from his belt. As he activated it, a quick snap hiss emerged from the blade. He turned to Zera and spoke. "You're a bad liar, Zera, and a pathetic man." Zera lept to his feet, looking at Shado accusingly. "What are you talking about, Shado? Have you gone MAD?" he shouted.
"You Sith and your pathetic mind control devices ... what a joke." Shado brought his lightsaber to his front. He stood in a battle ready position. "I never lost my memory, Zera. You, like all others before you, have underestimated me. I only needed save passage into your base, and now, with my true friends, I will kill you." With that said, Shado lunged at Zera and prepared to attack.
Brittany and Rick stood briefly in shock. Then, it finally hit them. Shado needed them to believe that he truly lost his memory. If he didn't, the three of them wouldn't be standing in the belly of the beast, with the advantage of surprise on their side. The dark Jedi who had escorted them into the room, had now activated their lightsabers. Brittany and Rick were without theirs, as they had been comfiscated by the Sith, before being allowed entrance into the throne room. This could prove troublesome, to say the least ...
rick managed to take the lighhtsaber of one jedi and killed the other he tossed brittany the other light saber and they stayed ready knowing that the sith would soon be flooding the room
More Sith had indeed began flooding the room a short moment later. Brittany and Rick both activated their lightsabers, and began to battle the Sith. Shado and Zera were now engaged in a battle of lightsabers and Force powers. Shado used the Force to try and push Zera to the ground, but Zera was powerful in the Dark Side of the Force, which made it possible for him to resist the attack. Shado then used the Force to boost his speed. He swung his lightsaber, clashing it with Zera's. A spectacular display of sparks came from the clashing lightsabers. Zera used the Force to strike at Shado with lightning. Shado succumed to its effects and fell to his knees in pain. Zera laughed and swung with his lightsaber to behead his opponent, while he still used his Force lightning powers to keep Shado on his knees. Shado fought the pain and blocked Zera's crimson blade with his own. Infuriated, Zera kicked Shado, knocking him down onto his back. Zera lunged forward, raising his lightsaber in the air, he stabbed down at Shado, but wasn't fast enough to kill the Jedi. Shado quickly rolled out of the way, then leapt to his feet. He roared a battle cry, and with uncanny strength, sliced the unexpecting Zera's midsection in two.
rick saw when shadow got stabed and was worried he tossed brittany his lightsaber and didhis besst to heal shadows wounds
Brittany felt much more comfortable with two lightsabers and instantly made herself useful. She fought off the Sith while Rick attended Shado. When the two of them looked up, she was right at the center of a large mob of angry Sith, somehow managing to keep them off.
"A little help, guys?" she yelled. She jumped away from the Sith, but her luck had run out. As she jumped, a lightsaber pierced her leg. She cried out in pain and tumbled to the floor near Shado and Rick.
"It's all you," she whispered as she lost consciousness. She had hit her head on the ground as well.
The distinctive snap-hiss of an igniting lightsaber was the only warning Shado had, and he only barely managed to get his own blade up in time. Suddenly, one of Zera's guards had appeared at Shado's side. The other three were nowhere to be seen, but with the stealthing capabilities the guards had, that could prove to be worrisome.
Shado blocked a quick succesion of attacks from the guard, and managed to use the Force to pull his opponent's feet out from under him. A moment later, Shado took the guard out, and looked up to see Rick fending the mass of lower-ranking Sith off of Brittany. That was when he spotted a more dangerous opponent.
Lord Hadeous strode smoothly around the pile-up Rick was causing with the others, a predatory smile upon his face. Suddenly, he extended his hand towards Shado and the floor below Shado exploded. Shado had managed to back-flip away from the explosion, having been able to sense the mounting energies.
Suddenly, one of Zera's guards uncloaked himself right behind Rick. A stab with the lightsaber, and Rick's lightsaber fell to the floor, numbed fingers unable to hold anything. Hadeous smiled, a wicked, evil grin.
"Give up," he said to Shado, having no need to yell to make himself heard. "Or your friends..." he trailed off, and indicated Brittany and Rick lying on the floor, each with a Sith standing above them. A wall of lower Sith suddenly placed itself in between Shado and his friends...
Despite the burning desire to continue fighting on, Shado knew that if he didn't give up, it was a lose/lose situation. He placed his lightsaber down onto the floor, admitting victory to Hadeous and the Sith, in order to save his friends. Now all that was left, next to the silence that had filled the room, was the wonder of what would happen next.
Hadeous smiled when Shado submitted.
"Excellent." he said, smiling broadly. "I am very glad to see you can be reasonable." He pulled Shado's lightsaber to his waiting hand via the Force.
Snapping his fingers, the other two Jedi were taken away. Noting Shado's sudden stiffening, Hadeous spoke.
"They are being taken to where the doctors may help them." he said. "It would be a shame to let such useful hostages go to waste." He snapped his fingers and a Sith set binders upon Shado's wrists. "A silly precaution," said Hadeous, "But a precaution nonetheless. I intend to take no chances with you, Shado." He waved, and two of the more powerful Sith on hand stepped behind and in front of Shado. "I think you will not find your new accomodations nearly so nice as your previous ones," commented the new Lord of the Sith. "You should have joined us, Shado." With another wave, he dismissed Shado, and his escorts took him away. Several other Sith kept with Shado and his two escorts, but stayed at a distance.
Hadeous sighed and moved to the Throne of the Sith. He had several choices, all of them intriguing. He could kill Shado, and see about turning his friends to the Dark Side. Or he could just kill all three, perhaps. He could attempt to turn Shado, but that would take a signifigant amount of time and effort just to produce someone who might become a rival for the Throne of the Sith.
He activated his commlink. "How will the girl and the other Jedi fare?" he asked. The voice on the other end replied in confident tones: "They will survive."
"Excellent," said Hadeous. "Use this time to start the drugs." He sighed. His manner of turning these Jedi would be different from that of his deceased Master. For a moment, he worried. Being the Master was not easy. There were too many pressing choices to be made, in too little time.
He looked up at the guards. "Kill Vorn." he instructed them. He had reached a decision.
We will wait for a while. We have lost too much power on this single venture. We are Sith. We are measured, cold. We are above all, practical. We must regain our strength. I must teach a new Apprentice. His thoughts ran quickly, as he realized the best thing for now was to be patient and see how things played out.
* * *
Shado Vorn looked around as his escorts stopped suddenly. Those Sith that had been shadowing them were closing in, somewhat. Both his close-in escorts took a step away from him, and pulled their lightsabers.
This was not good. Not good at all...
Shado was startled, but not really shocked of the betrayal. Right now, his only friend was the Force, and he would have to use it, if he wanted to live. Shado used the Force to push one of the Sith's arms up to his face, causing him to stab one of his eyes with the hilt of the saber. The other Jedi took a split second to look at his partner. A split second was all that Shado needed. He used the Force to pull the lightsaber hilt from the hurt Jedi, activated it, and ran the other Jedi through with it, killing him. He then pulled the saber from the now dying Jedi, and decapitated the other Jedi with it.
He was giving into his rage, and he knew it. Moments after Shado had killed the two Sith, more troopers and guards began showing up, like a small army. Shado was forced to carry on the battle, being pushed back further and further into the halls as he fought. The small army was soon becoming overwhelming for Shado. He was so angry at Hadeous, at Zera, and all the Sith for the hell that they had been putting him through, that something snapped within him as he fought.
The small fire that was within him was becoming too large, and he was now too angry to be held back. He roared his way into battle, slaughtering Sith after Sith, but still, more would come. He wouldn't give up though, his rage had consumed him and turned him into a killing machine with no fear. Only anger, only hatred for the Sith, and the desire to kill them all. Shado had taken a step closer to the dark side.
Suddenly, Shado's crowd of enemies jumped back a pace. Lord Hadeous stepped forward.
"Shado," he said simply, "I see you've discovered the power of rage." he indicated the chopped bodies to either side of Shado.
"Did their deaths satisfy you, Shado? Did you revel in their loss? Did you feel only mounting anger?" he smiled, as Shado breathed suddenly and quickly. The Jedi was obviously not tired out completely, and he could always call upon the Force for more strength, but he was obviously tired some both physically and mentally.
"Remember your friends in the medical bay," reminded Hadeous. "I'd hate to have to kill them." Hadeous looke up suddenly. Only now did Shado realize that they were standing in a rare courtyard. Suddenly, a series of blaster bolts flew down, barely missing the dodging Hadeous, and moving down amongst the crowded Sith, several of whom managed to deflect the bolts.
Hadeous rolled to the side, and left through a pair of doors as the hail of deadly fire continued. Shado watched as the Sith concentrated on blocking the shots. Suddenly, the source of the fire was apparent: Brittany and Rick's shp came to a drunken stop mid-air, directly above Shado, and the landing ramp extended. A loudspeaker turned on.
"Master Shado," came T3's voice, "Would you care to get on?"
"Teethree!" Shado shouted with a smile. Shado ran up the ramp, deflecting some blaster bolts on his way into the ship. The docking ramp closed quickly behind him. "It's good to see you, Teethree, and you too, Hero!" he said while at the same time catching his breath. "It's good to see you too, Master Shado!" said an enthusiastic T3. Hero cooed happily towards his friend.
Shado, shortly after sitting down, leapt back to his feet, facing Teethree. "I have to go back down, Teethree. Keep firing at the Sith for as long as you can." Teethree was about to speak up, but stopped short, noticing that Rick and Brittany were not with him. "Very well, Master Shado, but do be careful down there, okay?" said Teethree.
"I'll do my best, Teethree." Shado replied as the docking ramp opened back up. Shado took a deep breath and ran back down the ramp, once again deflecting some blaster bolts. Hero hopped along after Shado, without Shado or T3 taking notice. T3 closed the ramp once more.
Shado took cover, and attacked and killed the remaining Sith that were along the courtyard. It was no small feat either, but with T3 distracting most of them, it made it a bit easier for Shado, who was now exhausted. He had to go on though. He would not leave until he had found Brittany and Rick, and returned them to his ship safely.
Shado was in for a surprise though, because there were still plenty of Sith waiting for him, all with the order to kill him. He had to find Brittany and Rick, and do his best to avoid the Sith while he could.
