when i join a mp game, it takes so long at the awaiting snapshot thing. does anyone else have this same problem'? is this caused because of my system or is it the server? I have a p4 2.5 ghz 512 ddr ram, and geforce4 440. JO did not take forever for the snapshot.
which game mode are you trying to join, because I have noticed that when joining a game that is running Siege, mine also takes a much longer time to join, but it loads.
That's cause the Siege maps are much bigger than the FFA ones ;) simple as that.

Did you try re-installing?
Have you tried updating your video drivers? Also, are you maxing out your video detail, or have it pretty high?
This happens to me too in Jedi Outcast. My game often just freezes when it gets to awating snapshot.
Happened to me for a while but I did my monthly defraging and it went away. :D
