How many posts do I need to have to get rid of my "Corpse" label? I understand the whole "Land of the Dead" theme here, but I still find it very offensive and insulting.

Just wondering.

Hmmm... at a guess, it's 15. I'm not entirely sure...

How much more insulting do you think my rating is? Heck, I'm the King of Wishful Thinking here!

But then again, I DID do that to myself... :)

I thought it was a fitting title for people who either rarely post, or are new to our community. If you understand the theme, why are you still insulted? I mean, the game is about dead people. At least you're not a "Dead Worm" anymore.

He does have a point. We were all a corpse at one point in time. :D

Sure, but the game deals with it in a fairly light-hearted matter. There are no "corpses" in Grim Fandango - just "skels" and "lost souls". This isn't some horror game like Resident Evil or Silent Hill where you might expect to see some rotting flesh. I don't like to be associated with that type of imagery.

But I wasn't suggesting you change the label. I just wanted to know how soon I could get rid of it.

It seems to me that you're a bit agitated about the word 'Corpse'. It's about 15 posts to get out, of course. Maybe if you get over 200 like me you'll be a respectable 'Tube Switcher' :D

I think corpse is a neat word, though I'm trying to get rid of it too. I guess it depends on what your own language is. Corpse is foreign for me, but if someone called me raato, which is Finnish for corpse I'd be insulted too.

As opposed to a disrespectable corpse?

The post-count to lose the tag appears to 30, and I ain't hangin' around for another 17 to get rid of it.

Could you give me rank titled Grim Reaper ? Something in style like rank of Thrik.

No. You have to have 1000 posts, or become a moderator (don't ask), to be able to have a custom title, which you can change yourself.

They can, but it would defeat the point of the titles system. Just spam instead....no wait, don't! :D

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez, 1000 posts! That's harder than you tink, ya know? At least now the point system's down, otherwise you'd have to post 500 posts every time you feel like changing who you are :drop2:
