I had bought at my vacations a magazine of 1997...on one of the preview pages they have given a page to the "upcoming" grim fandango and said some of the thinks they knew...also posted 2 photos....

Then it hit me, it negun this crazy think....

Do you have any old magasines saying of grim? Not review

Those little thinks that are said for any game...in the first pages and mostly taking half or 1/4 of the page

If you have can you scan them and upload them here...or even mail me them....
i am trying to make a file :D (now searching some of my old ones....but :( not have before 98)
The good think is it being in different languages...i mean how the magasines saw the game before...

I believe it would be interesting if you could upload the pages here....:)

ok heres mine....http://www.reallifehosting.com/~lifedeath/Grim1.jpg)

The tile above sais...

Lucas of the ....dead

It sais that the game is gonna be a hit and all the people are gonna be fascinated...
It sais that in the day of the dead the spirits come back to the land of the living...
talks about the story a little. Manny in the department of death...being a travel agent ripping souls from land of the living and that they have to make a 4 year journey to reach the rest place (ninth underworld). That manny has to pay his depts and that he cannot go on if he wont reach a special sales number.
Here it sais that manny is involved in some economical scandals and that he won't be able to succeed and so use some of his dark knowing (?)
Then talks about tim shafer and his previous big hit games Full Throttle and day of the tentacle.
Also sais the game is based on Noir elements like the films Chinatown, Casablance and The Big sleep.
They end saying about the grafics that they are really beutigul and that the chars are like the traditional ones of the day of the dead and have been brought into a scenery like the film Nightmare before Christmas of Tim Barton.
"And if someone adds the cars of the 60 and the 90 different locations the result looks being one splentid pleasure. Grim fandango will be out the next spring"

The magazine is PC Zone (greek) november 1997

Who's the guy with the turban? He doesn't look familiar to me.

I know what you're talking about ... but the only gaming magazines I have are two copies of Sierra's Interaction. One of them features a 1/2 page about Gabriel Knight 3. It features a screenshot of Grace sitting on a table that never made it into the game. At the time I had no idea who or what Gabriel Knight was.

I've got another screenshot of that turban guy, somewhere where he shouldn't be, I'll have to look for that in my magazines.
