Does anyone else find the chat system a bit awkward? First of all, group chat usually doesn't work so then I am stuck sending tells to group members or talking out loud if we are in range. And I cannot see a purpose for the chat hotkey buttons let alone get them to work. Also, why on earth do we actually have to type out /tell or /reply instead of /t and /r? Anyway, here are the fixes that should be made imho:
* Abbreviate the chat commands to /t for tell, /r for reply, /g for
group etc. and get rid of the hotkey buttons since it could never
be faster to cycle through hotkey menus to find the command
you need and use it then just typing /t. Or at least abbreviate
the commands so we have a choice in which method to use.
* Fix group chat so it works and also change it so you can view
group and spatial chat at the same time. I don't know how
many times I have been in group chat mode and later realized
that someone outside of my group was trying to talk to me and
I didn't know it because I couldn't see the chat.
* Maybe it's just me, but I view the chat bubbles as an eyesore
to the game as well as an unreliable method of communicating.
A friend told me I could disable them and if I could ever log my
character on that is just what i am going to do.
Anyone else have any chat fixes to add? I am hoping against odds that someone in charge will read this and address these issues.
