Okay, I've made it to the idol at the end of the peru level. I pick up the idol, the room shakes and I sun forward. Ahead of me, a boulder rolls down at me, so I turn around, and wait in the doorway I just came from. The boulder rolls up past me. I take off running and another boulder comes down behind me, I slide down a ramp, swing across a chasm-and get squished by the boulder because its a dead end.

I have tried crouching down in the doorway as the second boulder comes down, then chase it to the end, BUT when the boulder smashes through the dead end, and comes to a rest, the game locks up right there. Its quite annoying to finish a level and be stuck at such a dead end! Make me regret choosing the map after getting out of the ship taking us across the ocean.

Please help.

actually, while it IS a dead end, there is
a swing post above indies head.. he should
still have the whip in his hand from the
swing.

not that it matters, but the boulder that
is chasing you toward the end is the same
one. It just rolls up the one side (while
you are crouched) and then indy has a timed
run to the dead end, so that he has enough
time to whip and climb up.

it takes timing and positioning, but you
ARE at the end of the level, you just have
to get up that rope.

All he does is swing across to the other side. He does'nt pull himself up. I figured thats all I needed to do, but every time, he swings.

yes, it's TWO whip-outs you have to do...

you boogie for the exit, slide down a ramp,
whip-swing over the gap.

THEN you must run all the way to the end,
with the boulder still coming. At the
end you will see a hanging, whatever,
think it's supposed to be a stone structure.
There you must whip again, and climb straight
up.

Sorry, Im a moron. After I posted this morning, I reread your post, and ran the game-sure enough, there's a wipping post right at the "door jam" before the dead end.

Feel like a dork for not seeing it before.
