If you go frame by frame just after the part where a Jedi with one saber cuts down a snowtrooper (about halfway through the video), you'll see a Jedi with two sabers, green and blue, fighting two Sith wannabes. Now, if you watch the first few frames of that fight, you'll see the Jedi flying back, but what no one noticed is that the reason he's flying back is he's just been kicked. You can clearly see the Sith guy nail the Jedi in the chest with one. Go see for yourself.
I'm wondering if this is a Sith only ability, because your *supposed* to only be able to kick with the double saber, but Sith can do it with a normal one. Could it be that this is just an early build?
Just found two new things as well.
In the scene with the Jedi with the yellow saber fighting the wampa, two interesting things can be noted. First, when the guy is stationary, he's holding his saber one handed out in front of him. This means this is a completly new saber stance, as shown by the moves he does next. Now advance a few frames, as he's pulling back to the strike to his right (it can be seen in two frames go slowly), notice anything really strange? Not only is that hilt TWICE as large as a normal one (this is VERY clear look at how WIDE his hands are apart), he's holding it with both his forearms in the same direction, like one would hold a staff. As he moves to the right, he goes into a one handed twirl. More evidence of a completely new stance but the most important thing gleaned is this.
All three of your saber weapons are part of the same saber later in the game. That is to say, you can use one, two, or double bladed saber... from the same hilt!
Think of Darth Maul when he fought Qui Gon in the desert, he only used one blade right? Then he ignites the other end in the next fight, double blade right? Now, combine that with information IGN got, the double saber splits into the dual saber. This technique is also seen in several fan films and comics.
So how rad is that? A three in one lightsaber!
Whoa...thanks for pointing that out...I wish they'd get a new animation for being knocked over though....Seems that since this is a separate game they shouldn't be recycling things.
no u have it all wrong geez.
you can kick in ANY DIRECTION with saber staff.
but you can still kick with the others.
I knew about the kick, thanks for telling us, though. :D
Hehe thx for the info :) But you mean there wasn't some sort of animation for putting on the second part of your saber?
