Because we modded it into jkII doesnt mean we want it in 3

It looks absurd to me what they are doing with this game. From what they have shown us nearly everyone has a saber staff or 2 sabers, and there are no guns. Seems to me they saw the mods and said 'oh, they must REALLY love that, lets force it on them this time!' People didnt like that you didnt get a saber until so far into the single player, so it looks like pretty much all you get is a saber now. The beauty of it is that a saber is a melee weapon that can be used against the guns, and the guns are still somewhat effective against the saber. This sort of game is the only place you can get that experience. The option to use two sabers or a saber staff is nice, but there should be drawbacks to both, with some limited advantages. If everyone in multiplayer is running around with 2 sabers that just wouldnt seem right. How many times did someone have 2 sabers in the movies? once, and he got his ass kicked. im not a starwars fan, I dont care about preserving the starwars world, I just liked jkII. what you think

Actually, 3 Jedi's used two sabers in AotC, Anakin, and two others. One of them you see up close in the geonosis battle (dark brown Jedi clothes, long black hair), and the other one you see pretty long away, he stabbs one of his sabers in the ground (on a battle droid).

I recommend you try and read some of the information released about the game. It has already been confirmed there are 2 more guns in your arsenal for this game than there were in JO. Just because they haven't shown all the weapons in the trailer, doesn't mean they aren't there. Your statement is very much uninformed, IMHO.

Yes...they are focusing on lightsaber combat a great deal more in JA...but they are also expanding your arsenal of guns. They are even including class-based combat in MP...including Troopers who will probably exclusively use guns. So please try to get your facts straight.

As far as the sabers go, they probably will each have drawbacks and benefits.

I highly recommend you read this thread (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=99548) which has a lot of information and links to information about the game.

Part of the reason we wanted to mod them in to JK2 was because Raven said it wasn't possible.

In retrospect, it seems like Raven was saying it wasn't possible because they might have known they were doing this for JA and wanted to feel special.

I'm still a little fearful that at some point in SP I will be forced to use either the double bladed or two lightsabers, instead of being able to stick with just one. But other than that, it looks like a great game.

Imagine those two against Yoda. That would have been a great battle. But then again, maybe not. It might have turned out horrible......who knows

And, a quick cut from the film removed what was going to be my favorite part, Anakin driving Dooku back with his two sabers and slicing his shoulder. This is shown in the book and comic.

But it's been said that force powers requiring hands, such as grip, lightening, push, pull etc will NOT be usable with two or a double saber. And the double saber user will NOT be able to throw it either. Drawback enough for you?

Obviously some sacrifices have to be made to keep the game balanced...

Besides, you're just a knight, Luke's a master. ;)

well, he technically wasnt a jedi knight until he confronted vader, and he lifted c3p0 before he confronted vader!

As we can see from the trailer, some Force powers such as lightning can be used with the lightstaff, but perhaps only at certain times.

You do get that really badass kick though...

Luke was extremly strong in the force, and as Yoda said:

"Already know you, that's what you need" (I think he said that)

Now, he still had to do something to become a Jedi Knight, but that doesn't mean he wasn't as strong as one.

My choice of sticking with the single saber is now justified! :) Bow before my hand-waving force powers!
