Description : Creates a script that allows you to change music tracks in-game easily.
: No scripting ability is required to use this program.
: New in v1.08:
: Added option to use the PKZIP log file to auto-generate file lists. This is much easier than typing them in individually.
: Smaller file size. Now includes a game playlist. Shows detailed info on track position in playlists.
: Added option to automatically add cfg to your autoexec file.
: Put menus in. Added option to save your playlists. (Distribute them to your friends! be sure to give them your music pk3s too)
: You now can double-click on the track's caption or path to edit it.
: Updated this file with alot of new info on how to use MCM.
: If the 'Add to autoexec' option in the file menu is greyed out, it means that you already have it in your autoexec file.
: Added some new dialogs to prevent work being lost. (yes/no's etc)
: Rightclick on the lists/program background for context menu.
: history:
: v1.07: Fixed all bugs.
: v1.06: You don't have to find your base path anymore.
: Corrected a few syntax bugs in the script created.
: Fixed a major problem that didn't allow switching back with the script.

Comments : If this program doesn't run & says something like 'Required dll missing', download the VB6 runtime dll.
: The file is called 'msvbvm60.dll'. Download and place in C:\Windows\System\.

: XP USERS: Try using Windows98/ME compatability mode while running it. To do this,
: Browse to the folder containing mcm.exe. Right-click on it and select 'Properties'.
: One of the tabs at the top is captioned, 'Compatibility'. Select it.
: Check the checkbox that is labeled 'Run this program in compatibility mode for...'
: and select 'Windows 98 / Windows ME'. Press okay and start the program.

WARNING! : I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT MAY HAPPEN TO YOUR COMPUTER AS A RESULT OF RUNNING OR TRYING TO USE THIS PROGRAM!

IMPORTANT!: : To use the original game soundtrack as your playlist, load the file 'games_soundtrack.log' with the 'Load PKZIP log' option in the file menu of MCM.
: Do not edit anything (exept for the switching buttons) and press 'Create'...the .cfg will show up in your base dir, and if you didn't select the
: 'Add to Autoexec' option from the file menu of MCM, when in-game just type into the console "exec mcm.cfg".

TO MAKE A NEW MUSIC.PK3 FILE:

1)Create a folder under C:\ and name it 'music'. eg, "C:\music\"
2)put all the mp3s you want to have in the folder.
3)If you have PKZIP, goto number 4. If not, goto number 14.
4)Open PKZIP. (Don't use the rightclick menu item in explorer)
5)Select 'Add' from the menu.
6)Type the name and location you want to place the file. (Don't put it in "C:\music\".)
7)The next dialog box has a button captioned, 'Advanced >>'. Select it.
8)Browse to where you can see the folder "C:\music\". Highlight it, and select the 'Add to List' button.
9)Press ok. When it comes up with the dialog box about being finished compressing, click the button labeled, 'Details'.
10)It will show the log file generated by PKZIP, and have two buttons to the right. Select the one labeled 'Save'.
11)Save the log file anywhere you like, shut down PKZIP.
12)Rename the 'music.zip' file to 'music.pk3' (if you haven't already), move it to your \base directory. (Usually "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\base\")
13)Run MCM.
14)Zip the folder 'music' up with your zip program. Rename the file 'music.zip' to 'music.pk3'.
15)Put music.pk3 into your \base folder. (Usually "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\base\")
16)Run MCM.

TO USE THE PROGRAM:

For Non-PKZIP users:
For info on making the pk3's, look above this....

Into the top textbox named 'Track Caption' you need to type the actual title of the song that you're adding.
Into the bottom textbox named 'Track Path' you need to type the name of the mp3. Leave off the '.mp3', so that it looks like this:

'track1.mp3' looks like 'track1'

Then press the 'Add' button. Continue to do this until you finish listing all of the tracks in 'C:\music\'..

Remember to execute this script if you didn't use the 'Add to Autoexec' option in the file menu of MCM. (type into the console 'exec mcm.cfg')
This script works for both SP and MP - except for servers that don't allow scripting. No cheats are required for this script to work.
